My team finally completed the robot enough so that I (as programmer) could work on it a couple days ago. I'm trying to use a 3D joystick to control the drive for omniwheels. The problem is the joystick's trim is way off. It doesn't appear to have anything to set the trim physically. It's a Microsoft Sidewinder 3D Pro. Does anyone have any ideas how I can set the trim?

The MS Sidewinder 3D pro uses optical sensors to sense movement. Despite having a db15 connection, its not an analog joystick. There are no trims to set, and unfortunately, it won't work.
Sorry.
Well, there may be no mechanical manifestations of ways to trim it, but it can always be adjusted in the program!
Just set it to its neutral state, and tell the programmer to work around it (I'm sure the programmer will be overjoyed :D ). It's better than nothing I suppose.
