They aren't showing because they were attachments to the post ... the others are hosted externally...

Oh, and by the way -- the winner's image will be put up May 28th, suppsedly the 1-year anniversary of the new forum system.

Look closely at all of the graphics. Number one is best because it will blend in perfectly with the top orange bar ont he site. It also just looks nice.

Good luck to everyone (sorry I dont have time to put them all in this format - these seem to get the most looks so I thought it might help the decissions. And it is best to see these in the proper environment before you choose).

PS: The dots are suposed to represent braile but I didnt take the time to download the font. If this is chosen, I will maybe translate the team name or something (If I'm given the chance to do that) Some one can start a poll on what it should say if they really care. But I suggest not doing that till we know if it even matters. Sunny's design is nice too!

the more i think about it the more i think u should keep the site the way it is...the navigation is perfect...theres no need to replace the old one...im the webmaster for my site and the navigtation hasnt changed since i started workin on it but thats because i like it so much and it works

i previously voted for three b/c i think it looks the best next to keeping this look...thats just my 2 cents :)

Yeah.

Only the logo will change for now.

Once vBulletin 3.0 comes out in a few months, though -- the navigation will be the last thing on your mind regarding any changes to the site... :)

vb 3.0 is supposedly going to be linear (like this one) AND tree-threaded (like our old one)...

and you, the user, can pick how you want to view the threads.

Among a bunch of other new features -- enough to bump the version number to 3.

Its set to be out in beta in the 2nd Quarter of 2002 [my guess is late June -> mid July]

oh....wow. I initially voted for three, but now seeing it on there, i don't think either of them look that good with the preexisting colors. :rolleyes: keep the old one, brandon. There's nothing wrong with it.

Anyways... #1 looks the best, but there really isn't any need for a new graphic. The existing one looks fine... unless someone comes up with something that's so amazing that it should be up there...

I feel the logo is fine as it is. The only thing I dislike about it is the sudden way that it just cuts off. Brandon, all that you have to do is just round that logo off and add a black bar to the top so the effect is constant - make it look like this:

The CD logo is fine as it is - simple and elegant. I like how 1 'attaches' itself to the orange VBulletin part, but the black/dark-grey outline of the orange 'attachments' doesn't fit and the font is kinda bleh - it's not evenly spaced and it looks kinda crooked. 3 is awesome, except for the fact that the white outline kinda blurs "Chiefdelphi" and makes it hard to read.

My advice, just add some rounded edges to the logo and a black bar across the top of the VBulletin header to make the effect constant

Yes, me too.

If he would've seen the other thread and voiced this idea, I would've gone for it right away. I apologize for going through all this, to just keep the same graphic.

I did change it a bit for a little change.

Don't worry, as I've said, once vBulletin 3.0 comes out, all of it will most likely change. I am going to try to keep it as easy for me to upgrade as I can, hense no big changes.

Anyway, thank you for all your suggestions and submissions to this poll ..

hmmm, looks a little awkward with the curve being a bit blurry. Everything else on the site is a straight transition from one color to the other - not sure if it's just me or what, but my eyes are drawn immidiately to the blur. It just looks outa place. Think you can make the curve and the the black bar more, er, I guess the word would be smooth rather than blurry? Other than that, nice job :)

The gray b/g in the logo is a different gray then the background of the page. What kind of operation are you trying to run here, for pete's sake? I'd expect something like this on mismatchedcolors.org, but not here.

Also, the number 47 gets harder to read as it goes across the top. And "Chief Delphi" isn't capitalized. And you forgot the space between the two words. And... um... the period is square.

That's all I got.
