As for this years robots (which I think Joe originally intended for) some of the best ones I have seen are M.A.R.S., the Technokats look very interesting, 118 is one of thous robots that you want to see how it works in the pits, and 230 all look to have very strong original designs this year.
EDIT: Yes, the original thread/posts were deleted for some reason

I think you meant 2006. So here's my parameters for favorites:
- pick up and store many balls from ground
- strong drive train
- high stable shooter exit point, but low cg
- turret and camera if you got it
S-P-A-M (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/pictures.php?&action=single&picid=12988)
BUZZZZZZ (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/pictures.php?s=&action=single&picid=13210&direction=DESC&sort=date&perrow=4&trows=3&quiet=Verbose)
Las Gorillas (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/pictures.php?s=&action=single&picid=13212&direction=DESC&sort=date&perrow=4&trows=3&quiet=Verbose)
Rush (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/pictures.php?s=&action=single&picid=13076&direction=DESC&sort=date&perrow=4&trows=3&quiet=Verbose)
Cooney Quest (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/pictures.php?s=&action=single&picid=13073&direction=DESC&sort=date&perrow=4&trows=3&quiet=Verbose)
25 (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/pictures.php?s=&action=single&picid=13005&direction=DESC&sort=date&perrow=4&trows=3&quiet=Verbose)
Swampthang - of coarse! (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/pictures.php?s=&action=single&picid=13072&direction=DESC&sort=date&perrow=4&trows=3&quiet=Verbose)
There's some other great looking bots that look like they're more focused on D, with no way to gather more balls after their initial 10. Maybe that will turn out to be a viable strategy, but I like the bots that plan to shoot over and over with big hoppers.
