I've been wondering - how many chess players are out here in FIRST?

Anyways, if you do play chess, post what regional you plan on attending and your USCF rating(if you have one). It works quite fine as a general indicator of skill.

I was really good a while ago. I haven't been in practice as much because of a lack of time and not installing Chessmaster on my computer. I think my rating was like 1500 or something, based on the guy that I had (unexpectedly) beaten.

Heh - 1400 - 1500 is the sweet spot - it's a pretty good rating.

To go above it, you'll have to kinda devote your life to chess.

I tried playing chess...and definetly didnt work for me. I look up to the all-state chess players at my high school :D

w00t I have Chessmaster 9000 (the secret to my previous success) installed again. But it will take a few months of productive computer time to get back to my former pwning strength.
