Just since March 1st:
...I think they played defence really well too.
...as was said before, defence is king...
Defence is positional!...
...If you can't shoot, [you're] playing defence....
...with respect to the which alliance is on defence during the second period?
...if more winning alliances start on defence...
...what robot was on offence and defence at any given time...
...it should be a significant advantage to be on defence during the second period...
...and therefore going on defence/ball collection mode first?
...what are the percentages of winning alliances that are on defence vs. offence during the second period...

293- Awesome defence, these guys can shoot really well too
486- Second best offencive robot, pretty good at defence too
...Is it possible that going on defence first...
...the same [amount] of time on offense and defence...
[I ] have a feeling the defence in auto is going to pick up...
...the defence aspect of the game has been missing the previous two seasons....
...play strong on defence, and climb the ramp...
...teams will similarly get better on defence...
...while playing defence tipped themselves...
A strong autonomous backed with a strong defence.
In defence of the banebot's transmissions...

Remember, Spell check is your friend! ;)

So do the UK teams.

It's only us folks here in the States who don't understand the Kings English! :D

I just did a spell check and both passed. Why is it that Americans always botch up the English language? Take U out of colour and what is left? I guess that we will just have to live with it, EH!!! :D

i will blame this on the fact that i lived in Rochester which is close to Canada and i still have a lot of their change floating around. Basically if i can use their money in our vending machines i can spell defense their way also....Wait i just spelled it wrong...grrrrr.

was that a good defence? :p

Good: We got rid of kings, just so we don't have to put up with weird spelling, warm soft drinks, organ meat, and driving on the left.

Bad: In return for giving up royalty, in exchange all we got was fast food, harsh vowels, and the Kennedy family.

Dude, you are an independent country now! Give up those excess vowels and join the US in freedom and liberty!! You already drive on the right and run household appliances on 120VAC: it shouldn't be too big a leap to abandon the whole Queen's English thing.

You're right. When I did my initial check, I was using ieSpell (with the U.S. English dictionary. -- When I switched to the Canadian or U.K. dictionaries, it told me MY way was wrong. :o ) I didn't notice that when I used the CD spell checker, it didn't catch the "misspellings". (Actually, I guess it wouldn't, since all of them were inside [quotes].)

Well now that the lid is off the pot....as a simple man raised in Ahia, why do we drive on a parkway and park on a driveway?

For the same reason a shipment goes by land and cargo goes by sea!

Also for the reason that the only countries that drive on the left (to the best of my recollection) are islands. UK, Japan, Australia, New Zealand...

Greg,

Did you ever consider that someone back in the history of the States had to start these misspellings, and thereby changed the whole course of American English?

Your constant prodding to spell things "correctly" is probably retarding development of the language immensely! 200 years from now, your descendants probably won't even recognise "CUL8R".

wlel I konw taht I can raed. And if you can raed tihs tehn you can too. Terhe was a sudty taht dalet wtih the hamun bairn, and how it raetcs wehn wrdos are msisellped. As lnog as the fsirt and lsat lteters are the smae as tehy nrmolaly wulod be tehn a preosrn can raed it.

So basically this just shows that spelling really doesn't matter at all.

It depends on whether you are Jeff Gordon or work for Burlington Northern...

These great responses are proof that CD is the greatest! Since we shipped our robot I am afraid I have not exercised my brain enough. Thank you, one and all!

Well.. motor vehicles are not allowed on bike paths or bridal trails (horse trails for all you uninformed folks), so I can't use my DC motor powered Segway on them. :( but I can ride my engine powered dirt bike on it at 20 miles an hour plus.. ;)

I love signs. Don't you?

Defence, defense, it seriously looks the same to me.

And because our robot is so picky this year, and I can't seem to make up my mind which is right, its gone off and stuck to offence. But wait, is it offence or offense? It seems as though our robot is confused again! To play offen(c/s)e or defen(c/s)e?

Eh, I'd go with just plain winning. But the robot has a mind of its own now. I guess its a programming problem. :D
