This poll is regarding the Chat Room we have on ChiefDelphi.com.

You get to it by clicking http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/images/icon_chat.gif <--that little guy in the upper right.

I don't think I've ever seen more than 2 people on there at a time, and when that happens it usually is too slow & akward and it dies down real quick.

So vote .. comment .. etc

The only time I honestly use it is when i am at school and the furewall blocks off IRC through our school...other than that I dislike it

the only time i went in there was to talk to dj while i was in school. but now that i am done with high school, forever, i don't know how much i'll be using it.

When I click on the little guy when I am logged in I get a screen saying something like , "You must be a registered user to chat, please register here..."

What gives????

one of em doesn't like the way i hacked the vBulletin & phpMyChat together...

Mozilla/Netscape 6&7 display a blank screen when you click on the chat icon. The problem that Elgin refers to happens when you don't automatically login (one of the options in the profile).

Is there any way to get around auto logging in???? I use public computers most times when I view the page and don't want other people abusing my sign in?

Theres a 90% chance that the current chat system will be gone.

Will it be replaced? I can't answer that just yet.

it's not that tigerbolt is better than anything else....i just go there cause that's where everyone else is.

what if you replace it w/ a link to the tigrebolt chat? I personally don't use the CD chat, just mIRC (Tigerbolt) chat. See if you can do that...

My vote goes towards the Tigerbolt chat, used it for quite a while....

although the Chief Delphi chat does come in useful when i'm at school....:)

I can't get it to work... I'm using MSIE, and when I click on the chat icon, I'm told I must be a registered member to use the chat. So, I hang out in #FIRSTRobotics on irc.webmaster.com (yes, yes, "Tigerbolt").
