I now dub thee "recliner bot". :p
That's a nice design. If the lexan shielding material wasn't there, I would try to sit on it if I saw it. lol
Looks like a recliner on 6 wheels.
Where are you going this year?

That is an impressive robot! Clean and simple! Looks like it will be reliable and has a nice low CG to get up the ramp.

Thanks for all the compliments!
Currently, we are only attending the Southern California regional. If things go well, we might end up at nationals.
I should note that these are early pictures, and the robot is still missing the shooting wheel and the rear chute to funnel the balls up to the shooter. Take a look at 254's pictures for a better idea of how it looks now.
There are a few more pictures in the thread itself at http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showthread.php?t=45204

A simple yet effective robot, I love it. Very clean, low center of gravity, probably very high scoring robot. I don't think I've seen a cleaner looking robot in awhile, got any specs? I see a 2 speed gearbox on it.
What's the approximate number of balls you can hold?
What's the motor usage? It looks like an intresting variety of motors.
Any reason why you opted out of the bumpers?
Very cool robot, it may not shoot, but it can dunk.

Very smooth looking bot. I wouldn't want to put it out on the field and risk damage.
How did you color/paint/anodize/ or make it look all red, for that matter? I've been looking for ways to paint the bots without having the paint peel off every time we breath on it.
Pretty nice and clean looking bot, like always.:)
Are you using bumpers on the side to protect your nice wheels?

What does each transmission weigh and what does that measurement include as far as motor(s) and cylinder goes?

Somewhere in the neighborhood of 9-10 lbs with motors and the cylinder.
