Anybody know if Wildstang will be hosting the Midwest regional webcast this weekend like they did last year? Im really anxious to see 111 and 71 :D
It would be nice to see them in action b4 the championship... but hopefully the webcasts will work soon.
Me too.. I'm anxiously waiting for any webcast to go on-line.

You might be better off to copy and paste this into "Open URL" in Windows Media Player:

I can't get silicon valley or Boilermaker feeds to play. :(
Maybe my school's network is going screwy again.

I’m still getting the error, there's most likely a cap on how many people can watch the webcast at a time...

Judging by everyone's problems and my own issues with opening the webcasts up, 80% of your problems are being caused by firewall issues. That being said, make sure your ports are open. The port ranges that I needed to open varied from port 2175 to port 2288 so make sure those ports are open.
The other 19% of issues people are having may in fact be software based, so there is an alternative to the dreaded windows media player. Enter VLC Media Player (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/) a free, open source, and constantly improving video client that comes with every codec under the sun. Download it, Install it, Run it. After that follow these steps to play a media stream.
Open VLC
Go to File > Open Network Stream (ctrl+n)
Click the Network Tab in the new window
The third radio button down, HTTP/HTTPS/FTP/MMS, click that
Copy/Paste either into the URL box next to what you just clicked
mms://sargasso-3.arc.nasa.gov/live
in for the Silicon Valley Regional feed or
mms://sargasso-3.arc.nasa.gov/boilermaker
in for the Boilermaker feed
Press Ok
Watch
Getting the Wildstang/Silicon Valley Real Media feed in VLC
File > Open Network Stream (ctrl+n)
Click the Network Tab in the new window
4th Button down, rtsp click it
Paste below into the URL box next to the button you clicked
for Midwest (Thanks Wildstang):
rtsp://live.wildstang.org:554/broadcast/live.rm
or for Silicon Valley:
rtsp://live:live@explorer.arc.nasa.gov/broadcast/secure/live.rm
Press Ok
Watch
I'm having problems with the 111 feed right now, but the process is the same for all Real Media feeds. The .rm feeds tend to be picky with the video, and it's not the most stable part of the program so my advice is to use Real Media, but if you can get it to work, good for you.

This might possibly be a 'you know you're addicted to FIRST when...' thing.
I've got both the Midwest and Boilermaker feeds running at the same time. :yikes:
Figuring out what audio is coming from what event is slightly confusing, but I can deal with it. :p

Are they actually going to show the NASA webcasts this week.
They say when available.
Does anyone know if that means they are going to actually run?
