I would like to start a website for my organizaton, Mentors Unite! and I was wondering if there was a website company/organization that I could use to make this a reality.

I would like it to be a free-based website with no monthly/yearly charges.,

Many hosting companies will donate limited (some, not so limited) website services to non-profit organizations that have a good cause. It can't hurt to send their sales team an email explaining your organization's purpose, and see what comes of it.

They may not offer all the bells and whistles that for-profit hosting companies offer, but if you want a free and simple website it is kind of hard to pass it up. (Just note that there is currently a potential for Google Page spamming (http://www.onedegree.ca/2006/02/23/big-problem-with-google-pages).)

IMHO, a more preferable option would be to contact sevaa.com (www.sevaa.com) and ask about their FIRST-related team/organization hosting offer.
