Face it, it will happen. Dean will die so will Flowers (:( ). So here is the question, who shall lead FIRST afterwords? Or what? A company? A board? A single person? Who? Will there even be a FIRST in 30-40 years?

by the time that occurs, i'm sure dean and woodie will have appointed someone or someones to run FIRST. if you think about it, it will probably be one of us. when the time comes, we'll have to worry about it, but for now, let's just keep on having fun.

Think. FIRST is going to head in the direction of the olympics. Dean is the main chearleader for it and once he's gone, where will all the inspiration come from?

I imagine that the future would lie ina coolaberation of DEKA engineers and MIT guys, that was it is now, isnt it?

Do you really think that Dean and Woody actually are the only people to design the game? I think there a bunch of engineers that work it out, but i could be wrong.

But why think about this, Melissa is right. They got plenty of years left.

By that time DEAN and WOODIE would have downloaded their bio-cranial wavitures, and personalities into some new tech robot! I mean it does fit the FIRST image, have the robots design the "robotics" game?!

And if that doesn't work they could always have that
cool bot from the NY regional to do it :D

Well, let's think here. Dean and Woodie are smart guys, (thats an understatement). Dont you think they would appoint the best person(s) for the job when the time comes? Besides, thats probably a long ways off, a bunch of us FIRSTER's might not even be involved in FIRST when that time comes. I agree with a buch of the others who have posted, let's just have fun now, worry about the next head of FIRST later.
