FYI . . . I tried to post my playlist, but apparently it's about 20000 characters too long for this post :-(

There's a whole lot of No Doubt, REM, Rockapella, Nina Gordon, Showtunes, Movie Songs, Cover songs, Me First and The Gimme Gimmes, Old School Rap, Aerosmith, and well. . . just about anything else you can imagine. It's 924 songs, so there's a lot of room for diversity :-)

Okay...

The attached playlist is what I generally consider to be it's own genre "FIRST Music."

<disclaimer>
The files are all 100% legal, none of them were downloaded off of Napster or any other file sharing program...I own all of the CDs for all of these files.
</disclaimer>

Since the RIAA seems to believe they can put the file-sharing geine back in the bottle maybe they'll believe my disclaimer :p :p :p

How can you hate Survivor?

Carolyn Duncan

Me thinks Eddie should be banned from any further discussion of music on the forum. How can you have the Madona version of American Pie and not the original? Geez! And why is Mr. Roboto so low on your list? As for your Moby song, why only that one? There are so many others that are so much better.
I def. noticed a theme to your playlist though...

how can you have madonna in youre playlist period? and what theme did you notice?

Carolyn Duncan
02-08-2001, 19:48
Some of Madonna's stuff is good, not American Pie though. Here's a clue to the theme I saw: Nobdy wants to be lonely, I'll be there for you, Can I have this kiss forever, Flavor of the week, Crazy for this girl. All of these songs appear on the list, if you've heard of any of them you'll get it.

Carolyn Duncan
03-08-2001, 21:49
Eddie, do you like to watch chick flicks? The theme I was going for was mushy. Not all of the songs are your list are bad, just many. It's a combo that I don't get but that's just me. I can't put Styx with Madonna, just doesn't work.

EddieMcD
04-08-2001, 13:25
Let's see: Songs that go with that theme. (I'm too lazy to type out the song, just the number)

11, 16, 17, 18, 19, 22, 23, 28, 29, 39, 40, 41, 45, 62, 74, 79, 86, 87, 94, 106, & 114. You could probably take a few of those away, and add a couple more, but thats only 18% of the songs.

I wish FIRST could go on TV and get the same popular response that wrestling has gotten w/o having to be like Battle Bots..:)

Did anyone say there was anything wrong with wrestling? NO! I merely said it was a male soap opera. Which is very true, think about it...

EddieMcD

I agree with you fully on that. Well, it's not all soap-opera. There is a lot of athleticism in there. Plus the choreography (sp?) is very good.

Ant time the wrestlers speak it's soap opera "I'm gonna shine it up, turn it sideways..." "I just don't know how you could have done this... The athleticism is there too but there are steroids and tons oof protein shakes choreography,... It's the same ting as screen directions. Cry, laugh, look this way, move here, duck at this point, arm up now, ... See what I mean?

EddieMcD
07-08-2001, 16:09
No, I mean in the fights themselves. That, and I don't think Vince McMahon is very fond of steroids (I believe he fired someone for using them).

He may have fired one person but it might have been a stunt. You never know. But think about some of the guys. Take Stone Cold for example, in the early 90's he was Stunning Steve who weighed less than 250 ( barely 200 I think) it's imposible for him to have bulked up that much with just creotine and lifting... And the choreography you were talking about really is the same as the stage directions in soaps.

EddieMcD
07-08-2001, 18:37
It wasn't a stunt. It wasn't even on TV. He actually fired the person.

And I think you are a bit off on Stone Cold's old weight, but it is possible to gain that much muscle in 5 years. 5 years is a long time.

Carolyn Duncan
07-08-2001, 23:53
With all the beer he drinks it would be hard to be in that good of shape without something helping him out. Now, I know I'm out dated in my info but Randy Savage is a steroid user. Last thing I heard he was still wrestling. I don't really know. Wrestling isn't really me forte.

David Kelly
07-08-2001, 23:59
i usta watch WWF all the time but it got boring and repetitive. the same stuff would happen all the time. so i quit waching it. I was also Eddie's age at the time.

I can't wait to see Dwaine Johnson (The Rock) in some movie's. He is a great actor.

It was probably one of the most entertaining popcorn movies of the summer.

As for the rocks acting. . .well, he didn't have any lines :) He just snarled and growled a bunch in front of blue screen, and the pasted an image map of his head onto a CG character.

Look for him next summer in The Mummy's prequel, The Scorpion King.
