Six days before the championship, it looks like weather.com is predicting clouds on thursday, with sun for the rest of the week.
Let's hope that the warm temperatures they are predicting STAY, instead of what happened last year at the social. I wasn't expecting temperatures in the 40's, and nearly froze in my thin shirt and skirt that I was wearing!

(yes, you heard it right - I was cold at the social, even though I am supposedly a "hardy New Englander". Ask Dillon (who is never cold)... even he was freezing.)

and we won't be getting rain that was blowing sideways...that was kinda cool though.

"we had small stinging rain, big ol fat rain, and sometimes it seemed like the rain was comin up from underneath"...bonus points if you can name that movie.

Would that be Forrest Gump?

Glad the weather is predicted to be nice. :D

The weather is ALWAYS controlled by the THUNDER......

and you know who makes the best THUNDER.......

So, here's the forecast from 2005 (oh, duh.....that was history from last year).

Look for the "weather forecast" on the ThunderPit TV screens at team 1511

ForecastFox on my Firefox has been set to Atlanta. Nice little extension even displays radar updated every 5-15 minutes.

Temps won't go from summer on Friday to Polar suit on Saturday night.
Wednesday has storm risks but nothing good timing won't help.

Looks like the competition is smack between two rainy days. I would love to believe that report but I know better. We'll have a better idea about the weather at the wrap-up party by Saturday night. :)

Looks like some one has spent a little too much time down there in florida.

It is good to hear that it is supposed to be nice down there

(note: the lows in Atlanta are veryclose to the Highs in RI for those same days.)

Obviously, it was the droplets splashing up from rain hitting the pond/river/stream whatever body of whatever Gump was wading through at the time with his M16 held over his head with one hand, while trying to keep the droplets from splashing up in his face with the other hand.

...I've watched that movie faaarrr too many times....one of the best movies ever in my book.

so was it the best book ever in your movie?

the book isn't too shabby if you're looking for a good read...back onto topic...

I really hope the weather is good.

I wasn't aware that there was a book too...but it was just a figure of speech :).

...and I'm really hoping that the good forecast holds up on my first trip to Atlanta. :D

Ha, I remember that. I was attempting to feel bad for you, but I too was freezing because the idea of packing for cold weather didn't even dawn on me. It's April, its been spring here for 4 months! my blood has gotten thin, it was cold.

As for the rain... I got to test out my umbrella hat last year. Turns out, it actually works...until the wind blows it off.

When Floridians get cold, they do strange things....

Darn, Barry, I forgot to add my umbrella hat to the list of things I need to pack for Championships in that other thread. I'll make sure I bring it. :) But hopefully, I won't need to use it to keep my dry.

Hmm the weather is a bit warmer than I'd like. Wearing two shirts might not be possible.

Being from New England, perfect weather is 65 with a slight breeze.

OK, Here you go, straight from the local ATL TV weather. While you are here, the high daily temp will be in the low 70's while the low nightly temp will be in the low 50's. The only rain predicted right now is on Wednesday. C'mon down!

Be sure to bring a jacket for the evenings.

Me and Jeff also had fun pouncing on their members with microphones, surprise interview anyone? :)

The weather is something I've been trying to avoid, I can pretend its sunny as long as I don't know otherwise. That and I hate flying, so lousy weather on wednesday makes me nervous...

Anyhoo...where was all this terror? Atlanta seemed fine to me last year. (Then again this is from the kid who uses half the local powers grid capacity on cooling his room, penguins anyone?)

Hot enough for you to dry off! Very nice. Good to know you like the cold, I guess those giant ice filled beverage containers at the party won't bother you too much when we put you in it.
