Car Nack

Car Nack yields to the clamoring of the masses (1) and makes a prediction for the championship.
One of the teams on the winning alliance will have won a previous championship.

Car Nack must be getting old and repeating himself. http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showthread.php?t=32527

Joe; The Great Car Nack is getting older but is still wise. This year's prediction is NOT a repeat of 2005. While both predictions may be satisfied this year, it is entirely possible for this year's prediction to materialize and 2005's prediction to be yet unfulfilled.
Sincerely,
Son of Car Nack

It's easy to make that prediction. Most of the better bots this year have won nationals/championship in the past.

I agree, it's like saying that the winner of Chaps Chairmans will have won the regional chairmans more than one year in a row, it's a given.
Now, what about a FF pick Car Nack? :p ;)

We'll have to wait until 2007 to see if another team can join the Beast from Hammond in the ranks of multiple-time champions.

This was the first thing that was running through my head as 25 and 503 walked out in the parade of robots.

And 176.
In fact, of the final-four, the ONLY alliance that didn't have a former champion on it, was the one that won.
No repeats, until Beatty gets #5. ;)

Doh!
Jeff, you are right. For some reason I got confused between 176 and 177.
I'm not really sure why.
Only TWO of the four had former national Champs. Everyone rep Jeff.

And shame on you for that John. You should know our history at 177 from your former roommate.
Unfortunately we've made it close but never gotten that elusive win like our friends at 176 did. On the positive side SF 2-1 was our first win on Einstien in team history.
Also you missed my favorite award our team earned as a rookie in 1995:
"Best Execution of an Alternative Strategy"

Don't you mean only TWO since the winning alliance didn't have a winner either?

I'm sorry to say I was wrong about this, but not THAT sorry.
Kudos to 71 on another incredible season. Thanks for all the inspiration.
