My congrats goes to team 296, 217 and my old high school's team 522 for winning the Division and the championship. Seeing this event both on the webcast and broadcast and watching all these teams compete brings a tear to my eye. These teams are well deserving and they should be proud of their accomplishment.
A couple of other sets of congrads goes out to team 111 for winning the chairmans award and the Championship Runners Up Teams 25, 968 and 195.

Also I would just like to mention that all 3 of the 2006 Inter-national Champions participated in the Greater Toronto Regional.
And also i forgot to say Congrats to the Inter-national runner-ups 25, 968, and 195. You guys served Newton well.
Wow, congrats to the winners, that was a close last match. Congrats to the runner ups too.

Congratulations to ALL on their respective awards! These past two days of competition were so intense to watch, even just on a computer from home, but nonetheless, TOTALLY WORTH IT! Especially those final matches... the last one was SO CLOSE AND SO INTENSE! I thought we were looking at a Match 3...
Even so, it was so fun to watch, and I hope everyone there had as much fun being there as I did watching it from home (and hoping to be there next year)!
WOW! what an event!
I am happy that a Canadian team (296) won the nationals, great job by everyone!
Congrats to 111 for the chairmans.

Congrats to the Canadian Champions 296, and there partners 217 and 522. All of the Canadian teams were amazing this weekend, showing our true colours and that there are many elite teams up here. Its amazing that we now have a world champion, 296 truly refined their robot this weekend and performed amazingly. I would also like to congratulate all of the Canadian teams who had our best showing yet: 296, 1114, 1503, 1680, 1305, 610, 865, 772, and anyone who I missed. Thanks all for a great Championship experience!

I have officially dubbed this alliance the Northern Chicken Wizards! ;) :p
Congrats to all of the Championship winners and finalists... your robots were amazing and the matches were great to watch!
What an awesome show this whole weekend! Congratulations to all. By the way Paul C. your team's "tweaks" all weekend paid off. Too bad we never had a chance to even play with or against you this whole season. I'm sure we'll be back in Archimedes again next year with our usual neighbors.
An here goes to all the nay sayers that Archimedes is the weekest divison, just proves my point that basic numbers can be very deceiving.
See you all next year or at some other offseason event.

So its 7:10 am and I am sitting at the delta terminal, thinking hmm what should i do? Oh yea go on CD, lol. I just like to say that the championships were thrilling. Congrats to all teams that participated, and to teams 296,217,522 for a fantastic job on winning the aim high challenge. I KNEW IT !!!!!!
I just Knew that Archimedes would produce the national champs. I proudly displayed "2006 National Champions - Think Positive" on the Archimedes pit inspection status board during the final weight inspection even before the finals began (I was the head inspector dude for Archimedes).
Congrats to 296,217 & 522 for a great job! And thanks to ALL of the teams in Archimedes for your gracious, professional, and pleasant conduct during the inspection process. It was an honor to work with you all. :D

Congrats 296, 217, and 522. You guys were incredible. Once we heard you were on Einstein, we knew we would be in for something big. Losing to you, was no loss at all. Our drive team has always had the idea that you must beat the best to be the real champions. We can all say we are happy with how things turned out.

hahaha... well it was a great match.. i will say.. and we were worried for a second at the end... but in the end.. the best came out on top.... so.. GG! lol
Congrats to the winners and runner-ups. However, I was kinda surprised not to see a triplet in the finals. I was not in their division, so does anyone care to fill me in on what happened to them?

Well 1503 was in Newton, and got picked into the Top 8..but didn't make it through Newton as the 3rd Alliance (25, 968, 195) came out on top.

Congrats to the championship winning teams I was there and I saw all the action the last 3 games had me standing on edge I wish I could have been one of the teams in finals but we had some pretty bad games. Well we are ready for next year and I don't know about you guys but I think that next years game may have something to do with standing on your head.

Team #1114's aliance was beaten in the Currie finals by 503, 451 & 1139. Team 1139 being the first from Georgia to win a divisional championship and I don't think they had any previous First trophy's.

Congratulations 296! You guys deserved a win, and I'm glad to see it came in such a big way. Also with 522 on the winning alliance, the highest team number to ever win stands at 522 (an increase of 19! ) Also 296, if you guys are thinking about doing something in the offseason, BattleCry is kinda right down the road. :)

1503 was selected by 987 into the #2 alliance on Newton, but lost to 25, 968, and 195 during the Newton semi-finals in one of the most intense set of matches I have ever seen (all 3 matches rival the final match on Einstein in the sheer level of competition). 1680 was selected by 1468 into the #5 alliance on Curie. 121, 65, and 1511 would topple 1680 in the QFs in 3 matches. 70 selected 1114 into the #1 Curie alliance, and beat the #4 alliance (121, 65, and 1511, who beat 1680) in the SFs. 503, 451, and 1139 would then beat the #1 alliance in the Curie finals.

However, I was kinda surprised not to see a triplet in the finals.
We played alot of good teams this past weekend, but I must say 1503 was the most intimidating. We built our drive train to push, but couldn't move 1503 an inch.

Call me crazy, but I just got back from a near 24 hour sojourn (bus had mechanical problems) from Atlanta and the first thing I do is go on ChiefDelphi to express my sincere congratulations to the winning alliance of 296, 217 and 522.
Of course special congratulations does go out to Team 296, who broke through a number of records this past weekend, including being the highest seeded Canadian team ever, first Canadian team to make it past divisional semi-finals, first to reach Einstein and of course first team to win a national championship. It has been long overdue and I am very very glad to see a team of such calibre and a robot of such construction make it.
As mentioned before, all 3 robots attended the Greater Toronto Regional and all performed very well. Perhaps this is indeed a sign of things to come for those who attend GTR.

i dont like it, but i cant tell u why!" -"Dearrin"
Hey Jack is that suppose to be Darren or Dearrin or the Day He Ran - Anyways Good Job Champs! See you today (Monday).
And as for the triplets that was the biggest upset I have ever seen I thought for sure that there would be at least one or two triplets in the Final Matches =(
But hey In either case Archimedes brought out the best matches and closest scores and the 3 best robots to get the job done. Good job to all 334 teams who have participated, Once again the Chairmans Award Winner, The Woodie Flowers Award Winner, The National Champs, The Divisional Champs, and all the many other misc. Award Winners. A Game Well played.

1114 made it to the Curie finals as well, so the question is, which of the two Canadian teams accomplished that feat earlier in the day??? The time difference could be a matter of minutes. The world may never know. :p

This years Championship was the very best in my opinion. Not only did me and a few students and engineers find out the hard way of not getting in contact with our bus to pick us up (ending up getting in the back of a Envoy with six other people). But also the experience of watching the rookies on the team with their reaction when entering the arena and the pit area for the first time. And seeing our team for the first time in my three years on the team make it to the finials of our division with two awesome robots team 70 More Martians and 1114 simbotics. All in all I think this year at Championship is a experience I am sure I will never forget!
