Why does the shirt say 216.173.227.141, when there's nothing there, even if InnovationFIRST, Vexlabs, Rack Solutions, and IFI are all at that IP?
Also, where was this? I didn't see any of these shirts all weekend.

I saw someone walking around in a "There's no place like 216.173.227.141" shirt, but I assumed it was a team shirt. I, too, am baffled by it's reference.

Oh yes, I am well familiar with "There's no place like 127.0.0.1" shirts. I've even seen a few "There's no place like ::1" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IPv6#Special_addresses) shirts. But why the heck 216.173.227.141?

According to Terminal.app:

It was an IFI email sign-up actually. The intelitek booth just happened to be next to the signup sheet. It said that you could sign up to hear some updates about Vex, which I actually wanted so I used my real email.
We had a "Vex Interest" email list signup.
Everyone that signed up got a free t-shirt. Miss Morrison was helping us out running the Vex pit area on Thursday and Friday. The t-shirts were very popular, and I hope we can do something similar in the future.

I wanted a shirt that just said "Enginerd." on the front, but my idea got voted down.

A snapshot of the infamous Amanda Morrison handing out VEX shirts in Atlanta.
Wow, first the webhug booing and now this quote - what do you boys have against Ms. Morrison?
Amanda isn't that intimidating, is she??

All i know is when she tries to take pies away from me, i was scared and hiding behind JVN. but i did walk away with the pie and all she got was the strawberry.

"Enginerd" is a term that goes back to at least the 1970's. I first heard it at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, the best engineering school in North America.

I've had "enginerd" in my sig for a while now, but I think I first saw it somewhere else on CD.
Here's the earliest reference on CD, stated by none other than JVN in 2004:

Webhug booing? What's that all about.
Wow, first I miss a free T-shirt in the raffle (because I wasn't present), and now I missed out on a controversy. I fail to attend one web hug and I missed everything.

I think you misspelled Worcester
