Look at this post. (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showpost.php?p=316134&postcount=19)

Ummm.... 12 m/s?

And then this post (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showpost.php?p=315562&postcount=18) .

Part of the game clue? It's right before Dave's post.

Somebody got cannons right. (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showpost.php?p=356071&postcount=50)

And somebody predicted ramps. (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showpost.php?p=358777&postcount=53)

I'd say we did pretty well for random guess, especially the first two items.

I think I win the prize:

High goals, low goals, smaller balls, real-time scoring (and no tampering with it!), and switching sides. ;)

Billfred, you wouldn't happen to have invented time travel yet, have you?

Is it just me or did the GDC just farm Billfred's sole post to create Aim High?

We need to think of a prize for Billfred...or just get him to tell my team what next year's game will be right now ;) .

BACK BILLFRED!
I know, low-quality, in my defense, I did it in a minute on paint

Geeze, Don, you had to put it that way and give Luke that idea. What next, pushing our robot aside after it tips to climb the ramp? ;)

Honestly, I didn't plan on it actually sticking. (It actually took me a few minutes to connect the dots after Kickoff went off the air.) Will they listen to me at all this year? Only one man on this forum knows--and we all know that getting game information from him is like trying to get blood from a turnip.

Although it seems that Dave mentions a name a month or three before Kickoff that might serve as a pointer to information--consider "purchase JVN's birthstone (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showpost.php?p=311360&postcount=10)" before 2005's Kickoff (JVN's birthstone is amethyst, which is composed of lots of really tiny tetrahedrons), and "Whack (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showpost.php?p=413650&postcount=18) the Billfred (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showpost.php?p=413792&postcount=23)" before this year's.

(That little bit of knowledge comes only with 20/20 hindsight, enabling us to see Dave's posts without the red herrings, and a memory of ChiefDelphi threads that's probably not healthy.)

Now if only we could figure out how to create a Dave Lavery game-hint machine. We feed it everything that comes out of Dave Lavery, and it extracts the red herrings, leaving us with pure, sparkling, game hints - and as an added bonus - Krispy Kreme donuts. With the amount of speculation that goes on here, I think we can figure out every FIRST game until 2099. :p

I just remembered this one, perhaps the most famous hit of the year. (I mean, when they talk about it during the Kickoff telecast...)

For your consideration: "Just Shoot Me,"....
