For four years I've had my Delphi set on instant email notification. However as of yesterday I am no longer getting any email notification for PMs or subscribed threads. To be sure that my email hadn't changed in User CP I did an email address update, but to no avail. Is this just a bug in the system perhaps? I'd sure love my notifications back!

Ok, so Ricky's reply spawned off an instant email notification to me,
so that rules out the whole system not working.

Do you get any emails from the site? (try sending yourself an email via the link on your profile)

Your ISP (or email client) may be marking these messages as spam, since they are automatically generated. Take a look at your trash/spam/junk folder, and see if any messages are in there. You could also try adding our forums to your address book (or whitelist). The email address most (if not all) of the emails come from is 'noreply@chiefdelphi.com'.

Still no such luck on Ricky's reply or on your two.

I just sent myself an email and so far I haven't received it. I don't think it's spam filtering as it's a Comcast email address and they don't do any server-side spam filtering. I receive the mail in Apple Mail, and the spam controls there are set to separate, but not delete, all incoming spam, and nothing has been coming in there either.

Hrm. Evidently the server rebooted yesterday and the hostname on the box got messed up. Did this reply get you an email?

All better! Time to close the thread. :)
