(This will also be posted as a pdf on the Cyberblue234.com web site)
Attached are the 66 teams for the 2006 IRI.
Also listed are 7 alternates.
Also attached is a blank invoice for your team to use.
Print it, add the detail, and include it when submitting payment.
Note: Payment must be received by June 15th. If not, then you will be moved to the bottom of the waiting list and your slot offered to the next team on the list.
EDIT: Add 1002 (Circuit Runners) and 364 (Team Fusion) to the waiting list as 8 and 9.

Why am I having trouble with the Excel spreadsheet. I click on the link, and instead of opening in Excel or asking to download, it opens up as text (which I can barely read)...

I got it to work, but it was a bit tricky. Open the page in IE, go Save Target As, and rename the file extension as .xls and save it.

Is this a mistake?
I could have sworn that team 818 registered.

What, no teams in the 600s?
Oh, and our two California finalists from last year arn't returning? :(
This is scary
1114, 111, 25, 71, 469, 233, 217, 70/494, 107, 141, 135, 703, 868, 910, 1024, 1213, 68, 1018, 1108, 1305, 1504, 1741, 16, 269, 1272 393, 93, 33 and 1732 are all extremly well built bots. Wow  , I listed 30 and I could go on. The top eight will be unbeilivible. 25/111 versus 1114/469 or maybe 233/703 versus 217/1213 is more your taste. Or how about 33/494 versus 70/71. Not good enough how about 1732/1741 versus 93/1504. The old guard (25, 111, 71, 45) is here but so is the changing of the guard. (1741, 1732, 1504). It has variety and top to bottom there are excellent teams. 171 will be broken by the end of the weekend!
This list looks AMAZING. Even if we don't get off of the wait list, there is nothing that will stop me from coming to IRI, except my parents....

I believe its time to officially say....HOLY COW! Talk about something that has the potential to be flat out amazing! To those teams on the waiting list and/or not able to bring a FRC bot, remember there will also be a FVC compeition, I believe they are using the "Half Pipe Hustle" game.

Are they actually using "Half Pipe Hustle"? That might change whether or not FVC 18 is able to attend.
Also note, if 66 teams do attend, it will be larger than any regional in America (VCU and Chesepeake were tied for the largest with 64).

Cool!!!! We're rookies, and someone actually noticed us as formidable. And we're the "new guard". Awesome!!!
Too bad I can't go to IRI *much sadness* Oh well, I can still check the standings online. Huzza for the internet.

You know that girly, " OHMYGOSH! OHMYGOSH! OHMYGOSH!" schpeil? Well.. it's well deserved right here. Now all you need is the Cheesy Poofs and I'll die happy that I'm going!!!! AAAAAAH!!! And all these teams fit into where? Is it a high school or college?

Lawrence North High School. Has quite a nice sized gym for the field and an even bigger auxillary gym for the pits.

Watch for 1591. They didn't have the funds to attend Atlanta this year, but they are quite a strong team with a decent robot at FLR. I'm glad to see that hopefully they can get some exposure at IRI this year.

Indiana high schools have some of the largest gym's in the country so we won't have any problems fitting everybody in. :]

Heh... yes. A couple of points here:
I recall setting up the pits in the auxilliary gym a few years ago. The boys basketball team was practicing as we were setting up tables and electrical panels on the perimeter. I noticed a ~7-foot b-ball player on the floor, and asked one of the electricians who the skinny kid was. He just grinned at me and said "yeah, that kid is a freshman... he's gonna be very good."
Also... last year, we were setting up the scoring table, and were wondering how we were going to get a webcast. The year before, I think that we ran an Ethernet cable from about a mile away to do this, and it was a pain. The main electrician said "with all of the media and press coverage we are getting for Oden, the gym now has its own internet connection." So, we do benefit from a strong athletic program at LNHS.
Like it or not, high school basketball is still king in Indiana. As you can read, 9 of the nation's 10 largest high school gyms (http://www.usatoday.com/sports/preps/basketball/2004-02-25-ten-great-hoops-newcastle_x.htm) are in Indiana, and Lawrence North is not even on that list.

ps... it is better to have built a robot and lost than to ever played basketball at all

This is easy to say as a past wrestler in Indiana but what about football?

I don't really know how to judge the teams as to how good they'll be, seeing as I was unable to attend the two regoinals my team went to, but if everyone's so excited about who's going, it makes me... that excited mulitplied by 10!
I think it will be nice to finally see some of these teams that I've talked to people from and whatnot. All the teams I've heard of and from. It should be great.
I shouldn't be that hard to miss. I'm a girl from 393 who, if my previous curse with hair dye prove true, will have some weird red streaks in her hair.
Good luck to all, and I can honestly say I can't wait to see you all!
Simply,
Danielle

At my school, the band kids and computer club teamed up to intimidate the football team. The theatre crew was made up of the cool kids. There were hot girls in the autoshop class. The chess club had tryouts.
... but they still don't have a robotics team. ugh. Maybe I can get them to go to this IRI thing.

Thanks. Unfortunately, if we get on the list, there are only a couple of us going...but the bot will still be there :)

You want to talk about an amazing competition? This will definitely be one of the most challenging ones that I have been to. Last year was pretty competitive but I envision it being even better this year. G :) ood luck and see everyone there.
Are there going to be webcasts for IRI? Because even though I can't go, I'd love to see them.
Thank you.
