So, there's a newer version of vBulletin available soon, and the vBulletin developers are releasing a small list of new features every day. Check out some of the awesome features: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=186803

(ps: 3.0.7 - > 3.6.1 isn't as big of a jump as it seems)

Does it require a major shutdown and upgrade like going from vB2 to vB3?

I'll probably end up making a test site on a different domain, do the upgrade and let some people test it out. I've been careful to make things as contained as possible so that there aren't many changes to the vBulletin code, so hopefully things just magically 'work'. :)

There are significant changes between 3.0.x and 3.6.x, but not as drastic as 2.x -> 3.0 (i hope). I'm probably going to wait till 3.6 is out of beta, too.

I'm sure in terms of helping to ease moderation concerns, that will be shut off.
