Frustrated by their robots inability to stop the Triplets dominance on the field the mentors decided to make a stand and form a human chain in front of the ramp themselves. They of course were disqualified and escorted from the premises.

In an effort to cut back on expenses, FIRST decides to recycle certain elements of the program for its 2007 FRC game... mainly, the playing field ramps, and FIRST Senior Mentors. This year robots will be challenged to shoot ping pong balls (available in bulk, here (http://www.ping-pong.com/cgi-bin/shopper.cgi?preadd=action&key=XL454W&reference=/cgi-bin/shopper.cgi%3Fsearch%3Daction%26keywords%3D40mmBul k%26searchstart%3D0%26template%3DTemplates/bulkballs.htm)) into the mouths of the recycled FSMs. Points will be assessed based on the size of the FSM goal - those with the larger mouths (as demonstrated here by our good friend Mr. Kloberg) will be worth 5 points - while successfully targeting the FSMs who have learned to keep their mouths shut will earn 15 points. As you can see here, earning the 15 point goal will be a rare achievement.

I met this group of FIRSTheads at a D.S. & K.B. concert.
After all the K.K's and Mountain Dew, the whole thing is a bit fuzzy,
but somehow we ended up in Philly Ramp-Camping for a week. Those were
wild and free days. ...yep

As all good mentors do, they came when invited to the Great East Coast Mentors Forum. Little did they realize that the budget for a meeting room was so small they ended up on the field. True to form, they had fun anyway. Unfortunately, no robots were able to climb the blue ramp on Saturday after the top had been shined to a high luster by meeting attendees.

Finding the rides at the Championship Wrap Party a little too scary for them, the Senior Mentors returned to the field to have some fun:

Taking advantage of the public outcry against Billfred's use of too many Dave Lavery pics, the five founders of the Crappy Caption Contest Photos of America (CCCP of America......ha ha......80's thing never mind) Club gather together for their initial photo shoot. Given the lackluster response to this week's contest, I'd say they are achieving their club's primary goal. Next week - a pic of the quintet staring at the wall watching paint dry.
