I hate to post things like this, but it just simply is the best video ever. It captures the imagination so well and you just want to be a kid again.

It's people like him, along with the guy who started the Numa Numa craze, who make the internet a better place. :)

And as for the kid in the Cha Cha Slide Video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mwtpuxMSTW0&search=cha%20cha%20slide) he seriously needs to attend a FIRST competition. :p

Absolutely brilliant. I am going to start wearing a "WhereInTheHellIsMatt?" t-shirt.

And I think one of the most fascinating things ever would be to take a look this guy's passport!

And that's not even all the places he's been! A couple of weeks ago a friend sent me a different video of this guy (she loved it because she does Morris Dancing and has performed in several countries). I guess I've been going about it all wrong... I've been trying to photograph a cat in every location I visit... I should've been dancing instead!

That guy is my hero, just for pulling off a world travel trip on someone else's money.

Hey Elgin apparently you didn't pay much attention at Battlecry where about 20 people showed Grady how to do the Charlie Brown. You rock back and forth between your feet with your legs spread forward backward about 1-2 feet apart.

I'm so happy for this fellow -- he had a dream, went after it, and can share his achievement with the whole world via the Internet!

A good video to encourage a little self-examination...

I was thinking about this video earlier today...

How cool would it be to have someone go to every regional next year and do the Matt dance? I think that would be really cool. Of course, it would be nearly impossible to do, unless someone had their own private jet or something that they could use to get to all the regionals going on during one weekend.

But still, I think it would be awesome.

Two Words: Dean Kamen

But I would wonder if he is a dancing kinda guy!

Also what if a group of 33 people that were all going to different regionals taped during a the dance move at the respective regional and pass it on to the next person at a other regional, NOW THAT WOULD BE AWESOME.

so i love this concept and in alot of ways wish i was matt. I was just wondering does anybody else think some of this vieo is fake? some of the clips of him dancing just have that green screen feel to them. Fake or not I still think the idea of traveling around the world not worrying about anything is wonderful.

I noticed this, too. Some of the clips do look like that. The more I think about it, the more I think maybe he didn't actually visit some of the places.

Still a cool video, though.

I find it just a testimate to how good green screen technology has become, not that Matt didn't visit there. Personally, I belive the man (as a gum company paid for his second trip.)

Im sure its the first thing that pops into a lot of minds "no WAY!"

the image quality and characteristics of Matt look well matched to the background in all the shots, his size / perspective, and things like his shadow on the ground are consistantly correct (shadow is sharp on sunny days, soft on cloudy days). Also when the camera moves or jiggles Matt stays 'attached' with the background.

Plus there are several shots where people walk in front of him, or interact with him. If it was faked they did a studio quality job on it. In fact, with the cost of doing studio quality animation it might have been cheaper just to fly him all over the world with a $300 camcorder.
