Hmm.. this sounds interesting.
I'm always up for a free conert and food and drinks.
I must know, what time does it end approximately?
(Even though I love to party, I still have to work the next day.) lol

The band comes on at 7:30, usually plays a 1.5-2 hour set. The party continues all night!!
For those not familiar with the Stearns Square Concert Series, ('google' it for the list of bands) is a series of free shows in Springfield every Thursday night from July through 1st week of Sept. It has evolved into "Bike Night" with literally hundreds of motorcycles invading the downtown entertainment district of Spfld.
(Note: the show is free, the food and beverages you pay for.)

What a fun looking concert series (and you can't beat the price!). Eric and I will be in Old Lyme Connecticut for a couple of weeks in August, so who knows, maybe we'll make the "Big Brother and the Holding Co." show, after all, it's only about 67 miles away!

Buy me a plane ticket. And I'll make the party crazy. :)

So......who's coming? I am planning on getting to the show early (5:30ish) to commandeer good ground space for seating. I'd like to know approx how many spots to save??
The big guy and I will be there and we'll try and make it early, also.
Don't forget to bring folding chairs and food/beverages or plan on purchasing there.
"In the Year 2525" - wow, what was that, like 1968-69 when it was released? Does anyone even remember that?

I remember when rock was young, me and Susie had so much fun...
Someone else on CD remembers it 'cause it made his i-pod list... http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showthread.php?p=509699#post509699
I sure wish I was a few hours closer, it sounds like a good time!

My apologies for not looking it up to confirm.....relying on (foggy) memory for something so long ago. :(
We had an awesome time at the concert - for those who couldn't make it, try and see them if you can. The musicians are great!

Big Brother and the Holding Company this week. For those of you younger than 40, they are Janis Joplin's band. I know, who is Janis Joplin?
