Kit Gearbox Ratio [Archive]

Hey guys,

I was wondering what the IFI Kit gearbox ratio was for 2006? (Not sure if it changes year-to-year)

On the IFI website they have several specs regarding torque output and stuff, but no where does it say what the ratio is.

It is about 12.755:1 (two stages of 14:50 gearing).

And, furthermore, that's the same for both years.

And furthermore I believe the 2006 housing included provisions for mounting a hall effect sensor (which the 2005 version lacked).

Also, with the kitbot sprockets and chain, the final ratio is about 17:1, for what it's worth.
