As always, the deadline is Saturday at midnight EDT, unless you wedge one in before I judge it. ;)
Go!
This crate just isn't big enough for the both us.
http://www.metalinmotion.com/gallery/VCU/MIM%202006%203-5%20002.jpg
Since there was no resolving the measure by fourths or sixteenths debate, the only way to settle the matter was dueling spray cans (no lead) at 10 centimeters (the shop would not allow 10 paces).
Team 343 is using their third case of bes tine to clean up the aftermath....

Girl on left : I've had it with you, I'm finishing the crate!!
Girl on right: NO I AM!!
Kid on top:: haha alright! chick fight!

And the debate continues, which is better to paint crates, Krylon (TM) or Rustoleum (TM)
We may never know because 5 seconds after picture was taken both girls fired. Unbeknownst to either girl the arrows were pointing at the boy on top of the box who received an equal shot of black paint.

Metal-in-Motion recently had an affliction with several of their members becoming infatuated with Mortal Kombat. This persisted even through the designing of the crate, until two members decided it was time to throw down the gauntlet and decide who was the best member of the team.

Kid on top: Oooh! Fight! *jumps down to get popcorn* I hope I don't miss anything!

Yo yo, dis is how we mark our 'hood in da 3-4-3.
*guy on top in best announcer voice* "And welcome to the first Anual team 343 paint can battle royal in the right corner we have the vicious lady in blue ready with her can of rostoleum to take on anything we can throw at her. And in the slft corner the defending champion from team 343. AAAAAAAaaaaand FIGHT!"

It would be so much better if i knew their names
:rolleyes:
Despite having one of the most creatively decorated crates, Metal In Motion was unable to show off their ingenuity because there was no room for a shipping address, and the robot never made it to competition. The crate was last spotted on a barge, just off the Jersey shore.
Guy above crate: "Ok girls you know the rules, paint cans at three paces. Aaaand... shoot!"
To quote (well almost) a famous writer:
To spray or not to spray, that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The color and glitter of cheap paint,
Or to take arms against a sea of teammates,
And by opposing, end them. To die: to spray;
No more; and by a spray to say we end
The heart-ache and the thousand natural colors
That flesh is heir to, 'tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wish'd. To die, to spray;
To spray: perchance to laugh: ay, there's the rub;
For in that spray of paint what laughs may come
When we have sprayed off this florescent color,
Must give us pause: there's the respect
That makes a mess of so short a life;
For who would bear the cans and sprayers of paint,
The oppressor's wrong, the proud man's arrogant act,
The pangs of robot love, the mentor's delay,
The insolence of teammates and the spurns
That patient merit of the unworthy takes,
When he himself might his quietus make
With a spray can? who would finish the job,
To grunt and sweat under a rebuilt crate,
But that the dread of something after spraying,
The undiscover'd country from whose robot
No robot returns, puzzles the will
And makes us rather bear the paint we have
Than spray on others that we know not of?
Thus conscience does make cowards of us all;
And thus the native hue of resolution
Is sicklied o'er with the pale cast of thought,
And paint of great color and glitter
With this regard their heads turn away,
And lose the name of action.-Spray you now,
The fair teammate, in thy spraying
Be all my gloating remember'd.

Team 343 demonstrates their new invention, "Spray-On Safety Glasses". Next year's Pit Admin and Safety Guys won't have to remind everyone to wear glasses in the pits - they'll just whip out a can an slap a pair on.

<not an entry> OK, I give. I posted before reading. No one can beat Steve.
BTW, anyone from team 343 still around that stayed in Embassy Suites in Houston? Do you remember the Dragon Devils FLL team at the same hotel? </not an entry>

Tired of being plagued by pesky boys, the girls finally decide to take matters into their own hands...
Girl #1: "What did you bring?"
Girl #2: "Raid Bug-off, why, what did you bring?"
Girl #1: "Cool! I brought Raid too,Raid Pest-away. Now just where did that pest go?"
Pest... I mean, Guy: "Uh-oh!"

With much doubt and skepticism the two rookies followed the senior’s directions to the letter.
Girl on the left,” Are you sure he said we must mix the white and black colors by spraying them into each other like this?
Do you hear someone laughing?”

Charlie’s Angels: The High School Years
Episode 6: You’ll have a Crate time!
Image: Under the watchful eyes of young Bosley, two of Charlie’s Angels horse around and show their style after vanquishing the Graffiti Bandit.
Plot Summary: "Once upon a time, there were three little girls who went to High School. And they were each assigned very boring homework, but I took them all away from all that and now they work for me. My name is Charlie." This week, the Angels go undercover on their HS robotics team to stop the evil forces that threaten to prevent the team from shipping the robot on time. Warning: contains images of gracious professionalism.
To see who was the better artist the decided to make the crate so it stood out, Unfortunatly it was a tie!!! The fumes got to there heads and To determine the winner they had a dule, But wait another problem has come up, they are both out of paint. The dule must wait till, next year when they touch up the crate.

Like, aren't we suposed to face off on the main street at high noon?
Yeah, well, there is like no main street, just this silly back room and what is high noon anyway? It's all pretty flat here!
OK so let's just do the big wooden box, you have already hit the tool box and that big thing with the pointy part that spins around and the flame thrower thing.
Yeah, well you hit the the shiny, silver box and now it looks like that Wildstang robot from the video. Hey you have some dirt or something on your shirt, right 'PSSSSTTTT' there!
Hey you do 'PSSSSSSSSSTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT' too!

Guy on Top: Hey! Rookies, what are you still doing here? We sent you to the store to get some elbow grease and told you not to comeback until you do!
Girl on Left: We're going to go, but we didn't feel we were presentable for the public at large. But, then we found whole cases of this stuff, maybe you guys should try using it...
Guy on Top: Huh??? What are talking about????
Girl on Right: Y'know, this nifty spray on deodorant.

Well, first things first: I apologize for the downtime on the link. I'm not entirely sure what happened (343's site has played host to two caption contests before), but I'll take steps to make sure it doesn't happen in the future.
First place (not that it should surprise most) goes to:
To quote (well almost) a famous writer:
To spray or not to spray, that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The color and glitter of cheap paint,
Or to take arms against a sea of teammates,
And by opposing, end them. To die: to spray;

The heart-ache and the thousand natural colors
That flesh is heir to, 'tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wish'd. To die, to spray;
To spray: perchance to laugh: ay, there's the rub;
For in that spray of paint what laughs may come
When we have sprayed off this florescent color,
Must give us pause: there's the respect
That makes a mess of so short a life;
For who would bear the cans and sprayers of paint,
The oppressor's wrong, the proud man's arrogant act,
The pangs of robot love, the mentor's delay,
The insolence of teammates and the spurns
That patient merit of the unworthy takes,
When he himself might his quietus make
With a spray can? who would finish the job,

Second place goes to:
Guy on Top: Hey! Rookies, what are you still doing here? We sent you to the store to get some elbow grease and told you not to comeback until you do!
Girl on Left: We're going to go, but we didn't feel we were presentable for the public at large. But, then we found whole cases of this stuff, maybe you guys should try using it...
