Stargate SG1 season 11 cancelled!

This has shown up on slashdot and a few other sites, including Scifi.com, so it's official.

So, this season wraps up, and thats the end of new SG1 on TV. There may be a movie made, but thats been talked about for years.

Another stupid move by sci/fi. Farscape wasn't a fluke move after all. I guess they need more air time for wrestling or crappy B movies. I thought that SG1 was just finally starting to make some broad appeal to. My wife just got into it to!

Atlantis will stay on for a fourth season at least, but I'd be surprised if it survives for long on it's own.

I'll really miss Sci/fi Fridays.

Say it isn't so. This was better than Star Trek. I will sorely miss it. Still waiting for seasons 9-11 on DVD.

Stargate SG-1 has been my favorite show for the past 3 years. I guess I'll have to cling to Atlantis for however long that stays on.

They better not leave the end of season 10 on a cliffhanger with the Ori still kicking their butts. Although that might cause enough of an uproar to bring it back. :rolleyes:

I don't watch it personally, but my parents have watched it since the first season.

My brother and dad were already upset about the lame ending of Farscape.

They axed one of the few awesome shows they had... One of the last great shows on tv... Just give me a second...

Ok. I'm over it now. My money is on a head exec up top who made budget/cancling choices based on some obscure tv ratings by some random people... On the plus side, the show's producers are quite positive for just being let go, they are probibly still in denial.

But one can hope that perhaps they do know something, perhaps they found another company willing to pay for the show?

I'm sure this news strikes sadness into the hearts of all true nerds :(

Stargate was an amazing show, one of the few shows that I actually watched on television. I guess I'll have to quench my thirst with DVD reruns and whatever I can get of Atlantis.

BSG has the NBC logo at the end so it probably won't get canceled anytime soon.
