The liquor store bit makes sense, it would explain how Billfred gets so many good photos for the caption contest. As for the hotel part... you wouldn't catch me staying at it, if I stayed at a Billfred owned motel I'd be afraid of a photo showing up on CD of me asleep drooling on my Basic Electronics book from '54. (That book is just so insufferably dull. I've tried like ten times to get through the vacuum tube chapter, and I still heven't gotten past the fourth page)

Billfred, please open a branch of your motel chain within walking distance of each FIRST venue. And make sure to have plenty of bus parking, all night pizza delivery, and wi-fi. We'll all book our rooms via ChiefDelphi.

Better yet, let's use the Billfred Motel as the pit! It'll never have to close! :yikes:

You'll have to restrict access to the liquor... at least until the off-season.

I thought Billfred wanted to be a "Floridian," when did he turn into a "New Yorker?"

Actually, I enjoy both states. (Of course, I've only been in New York in the summer, so perhaps that's a biased sample of the state.)

I'll note, for the record, that I've got nothing to do with this motel. Besides, I can't even go into a liquor store, let alone run one. (By the time I graduate from USC, I think neither of those will be applicable.)

Just what was photoshopped?

Just what was photoshopped?

It's either a record winning photoshop or a real photo, and I lean towards the latter. There are power lines crossing the sign which would of been a pain to work around.

Saving the file, right clicking and viewing the advanced "summary" tab reveals the EXIF data, which doesn't say that it was edited in Photoshop. While it is possible to remove that data or fake it, most people would likely overlook checking the data when trying to get up the photo in a hurry.

My bet is that it is legit.

EDIT: After some intense googling (not really), I think I found it. Only issue: the name seems to be "Belfred Court Motel", which dosn't match the sign. Anyway, here are the deets:

Ding ding ding - and Tim Arnold wins the prize! That is indeed the place, and I just couldn't pass it up.

And thank you for the kind words regarding my photoshop abilities. Yet another benefit of an ill-spent youth. And yet another reason to beware of me when I have a camera :ahh: .
