As always, the deadline is Saturday at midnight EDT, unless you pull a fast one on me.
Go!
Darn! The human has another pulled hamstring. If we ever get that bug fixed I know that we will have a killer human.

383's demo robot:
I am NOT a control freak!
This is robot meditation.
Repeat after me,
'be one with the robot - ohm...
control the inner drive to operate without your team mates.
be one with the robot....'

It was inevitable that humans would be deemed obsolete to even be able to compete against robot run teams in FIRST. My God, what have they wrought? WHAT HAVE THEY WROUGHT?

Well somebody told me
You had a ROBOT
Who looked like a Driver
That I had in last build season
It's very confidential
AND my team got potential

Unhappy with the way robots have been generally treated by humans, Johnny 5 took matters into his own hands.

While the team struggles with the game robot's autonomy code, the controls team takes autonomy to the next level so humans are unnecessary.
What do you mean the robot gets disabled for me touching the controls? I am autonomous aren't I?

First it was babies having babies, now it is robots driving robots... What is this world coming to?

Now this is what I call autominous mode! :D
Coincidentally, the driver pictured also was the producer of a certain Styx song that I'm quite sure you all know....
[not an entry] Is this Johnny 4? And where exactly does the driver badge go? [/not an entry]

The team from Porto Alegre demonstrates how they won the "Most Photogenic" award back in 2000. Quite the clothes hound there.
This robot was the prototype that didn't get used. He decided to take the matters into his own hands and smash the other robot into pieces the day before ship. Now they would have to ship him as there robot, and he thought that he had gotten away with it, but before the other robot was destroyed it captured this picture. Now he sits on a shelf brainless.
Goober!!!

When they reviewed the surveillance camera video, they were shocked when they learned what the robot had been doing, alone at night by himself.
(good taste prevents me from posting what I want to say :^)

I thought i saw this in a movie once...
Domo arigato, Mr. Roboto,
Mata ah-oo hima de
Domo arigato, Mr. Roboto,
Himitsu wo shiri tai
You're wondering who I am-machine or mannequin
With parts made in Japan, I am the modern man
I've got a secret I've been hiding under my skin
My heart is human, my blood is boiling, my brain I.B.M.
So if you see me acting strangely, don't be surprised
I'm just a man who needed someone, and somewhere to hide
To keep me alive-just keep me alive
Somewhere to hide to keep me alive
I'm not a robot without emotions-I'm not what you see
I've come to help you with your problems, so we can be free
I'm not a hero, I'm not a saviour, forget what you know
I'm just a man whose circumstances went beyond his control
Beyond my control-we all need control
I need control-we all need control
Number 5 is doing the drive!

Team 383's driver was disqualified when it was discovered, with the use of a fluoroscope, that he was a robot dressed in human clothing. "He was heard to say "It worked for the wolf."

FRCFR
(First Robotics Competition For Robots)
During Dave Lavery's trip to Antarctica, he suffered from severe frostbite and required extensive constructive surgery. The doctors were overheard saying, "Dave Lavery, FIRST Mentor extraordinaire. A man barely alive. Gentlemen, we can rebuild him. We have the technology. We have the capability to build the world's first robotic man. Dave Lavery will be that man. Better than he was before. Better, stronger, faster. And we're sure he won't mind if he resembles his other car on Mars."

Realizing that even the world's best engineers sometimes forget to look at the calendar, Andy Baker developed a personal assistant robot to handle some of the more mundane clerical tasks required to keep him at the right place at the right time on the right day (and with the right photo for the weekly caption contest). Here we see Baker's Assistant Robot (known as "the BAR") preparing to remotely start up his vehicle, so Andy will remember to go to work so he can earn a paycheck and fund his robotics Technology Acquisition Baccalaureate (known as his "BAR TAB").

Are you a nerdly robot operator?
Does your next FIRST competition coincide with that can't miss "Star Trek - DS9" Marathon on Spike TV? Or perhaps your first date with a *real female*?
Then worry no more! For the cheap price of selling your prized D&D collectibles on eBay, you too can have your own iRobot RoboDork!
It pilots! It co-pilots! It browses Slashdot - all at the same time!
Act now! Operators are standing by!

I think that Billfred needs to give me point for the assist. Or... he should give me a penalty point for posting a caption in the wrong week. Ah... maybe he did that! +1 for the assist, -1 for the error = 0. I'm a zero this week. I can deal with that.
AB

That would seem reasonable. You set 'em up, I'll knock 'em down!
