That's 1501's 2006 robot. It appears that JamesBrown and I share opinions on its style, as it's my personal favorite. Some other robots are well put together, some are well color-coordinated, but I haven't seen any others that are gold plated.

Best-looking robot? Man, this is tough. In no particular order...
179's 2005 robot (http://chiefdelphi.com/media/photos/21365) was great to see (unless you were against them, that is).
968's robot this year (http://chiefdelphi.com/media/photos/24654) stood out, even before it drove the score up thirty points. Sure, you could argue 254, but I think the red looked better on the field.
33 in 2005 (http://chiefdelphi.com/media/photos/21377) was the most solid-looking robot I saw all season. It just looks so substantial on the field, you wonder how they ever made weight.
233 in 2006 (http://chiefdelphi.com/media/photos/23475) and 2005 (http://chiefdelphi.com/media/photos/20448) need no introduction.
If I can think of more, I'll edit or repost.

968's is by far the best looking robot I have ever seen- period. Very open, very well organized, and yet relatively sparse and clean. I spent 5-10 minutes looking at it in Atlanta, but I wish I had more time.
#2 for pretty robot goes to HOT's 2006 robot. Very, very nice. I spent 20 minutes looking for the pic., can't find it, so does anyone have it available?

I believe this (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/media/photos/23319) is the robot you are looking for.

I've always been impressed with how 968 has looked;

I couldn't quickly find a picture from 2003, but I've seen several around here before and it looked awesome then too. I don't remember their 2002 robot, but I'm sure Travis covington can link it if he reads this.

I cannot look at this picture without spending a minimum of 5-10 minutes without drooling over that robot, every time I see it. That was such an amazingly sleek and beautiful machine. Anyone who has not seen it in action is seriously missing out. Definitely my favorite robot of all time.

The martian twins 70 & 494. Some of the cleanest design I've seen.
Not the clearest picture. I'm looking for my IRI pics of them.

Also as mentioned above Pink (233) in 2005 and 2006.
Too bad you guys couldnt see ours this year before we had to cut weight.

1501 to me is the easy winner. This robot is incredible craftsmanship. When I see this robot at competitions I think at first it is a corporate display more than a FIRST robot. Great job up there in North Central Indiana.
When we first started in "99" there was a team from Puerto Rico I think called Croqui Power ( I know I spelled that wrong) they used to have unique airbrushed robots. They were a Baxter team if I am not mistaken. I think they are gone now?

I was walking through the pits in 05 champs and embarked upon this robot and went wow! it's my teams twin robot! I was simply amazed on how similar they were except for the manipulator.

I think I'd have to give the ugliest robot award to our team, actually. 1124's robot looked like the corpse bride. The whole thing was encased in mosquito netting. We laugh about it, though.

Best looking here george, and as well as it performed (which was incredibly well) I just didn't have it up there with my favorite lookers.....sry man :p

Yeah Scott, they are gone now as a Baxter team (FRC #0015, spelled Coqui) though I have see a team from Puerto Rico that may have some loose affiliation with them, but I know they are no longer with Baxter....you are really making me work for this one, but these are two photos of them (among others) from an offseason competition in Florida after the 2000 season. They are on the left of both photos (one a side view you can see their number 15, and the other is them straight on the camera where they are blocking another robot)

Who said that chickenwire, cardboard and pool noodle can't be beautiful? Robot beauty is what's on the inside. And they say humans are superficial about one another. :p

I have to go with 25's robot. It is very aggressive looking, but it has class. This machine is easily recognizable, especially when you are across the field from it hoping that it'll go easy on you. ;)

Personally, I prefer when it's across the field from you, and your cheering it on. ;)
(Thankfully, do the last matches of IRI being cancelled due to a delay, we didn't have to face 25 :p )
I am not trying to be biased, but I really liked how our 2005 robot looked. The carbon fiber/aluminum theme gave it a very nice look, especially with the decals.

Ok here are my top bots, since my first year in 05
2005 PINK 233-Great Bot, best at the game, and very quick (already a pic)
2005 Killer Bees 33-Another strong bot, looked cool and performed even better Picture (http://www.killerbees33.com/bitweaver/wiki/index.php?page=Buzz_X)

I recall a really cool looking robot at VCU in 2005 called Dr. Jay. He was similar in style to "2005 Hammond 71". Unfortunately, I can not remember the team number, nor do I have any pics. If someone does please post them.

this team won imagery at peachtree and at the chapionship. what i like about this robot is that you can't see how it works just balls go in and balls come out.

that looks like a really nice 'bot, but I remember that rule at the beginning of the season last year where you have to be able to see the balls at all times (or something like that). I don't think this rule was enforced very much, but i am not sure how this bot would comply with that rule.

All it was is that the 10 starting balls had to be visable (in essence, so that the judges knew you had no more than 10 balls), 1746 cut those little wholes in their side to reveal where all the balls were.

I've got to say I really liked how 1024, 71, and 111 looked in triple play... I was impressed of beatty's effective use of pvc.
This year, i've got to hand it to 233. They're really one of the few bots that weren't boxes...
1733 -- your robot was pretty funny, congrats at pittsburgh though :)
