That would imply weighing it, as oppose to just crossing our fingers and saying well.. if its heavy we CAN..... take it out there.. there and there.. oh and that bolt doesn't need to be THAT long. : P

yea, we had a weight problem before the check in. I think our team was overweight by about 10lbs before the tournament.

Ha...we were 77.5lbs but we did have a little trouble fitting in the box...but we are thinking about adding some dumbells for quick weight...so we can remove it really quick so its still easy to carry the robot

From our initial projections and our own weighings, we were at 116.8. Turns out that OCCRA's scale weighs less than ours! 113.5!

This would be illegal as the dumbells are not on the additional materials list.

Any added weight must be legal kit materials.

Size and weight are two issues that there are no exception to. Teams should plan their robot dimensions as well as weight carefully as to not cause a panic at the time of inspections.

NOTE: Once your robot is inspected the inspection is NOT final. Your robot may be reinspected at any time. If found out of specification you will lose any wins/points earned while out of compliance.

Any team adding additional mechanisms not on their robot at the time of inspection MUST be reinspected to be legal. This is a SAFETY issue.

defintly a good idea... last year at first we were about 15 lbs over... :yikes:

as to being over weight this year. heh we dont make the same mistake twice(but we make plenty of new ones to make up for it).
but how did you take off more then 20 lbs?!

Speed Holes. Plus, you don't really need all four of those wheels? Or that battery... ;)

we were only ten over, so we just took off any non-structural and unnecessary metal off the robot, which meant cutting our gripper in half, going from four points to 2
