At first, the audience laughed when Paul jumped up onto the goal. The audience laughed even louder when they realized someone with a tube of superglue had been there before Paul. However, after hearing Paul sing "I'm on top of the world looking down on creation..." for the 237th time, no one was laughing.

Rocking back and forth on the center goal, Paul suddenly rediscovered a childhood his family (and thousands of dollars of therapy) had only recently gotten him to leave behind....

Paul: "YAYYYYYY, go horsey, go! I wanna horsey like this one when I get home!"

Paul's Wife: *sighs* "Honey, please come down from there."

Paul: "NO! I don't wanna!"

Paul's Wife: "Come down, and I'll buy you an ice cream!"

Paul: "YAYYYYY, ICE CREAM!!!! I WANT ROCKY ROAD!"

Everyone ends up sleepy during competition. Hence, Paul Copioli mastered the zen art of sleep-announcing. Unfortunately for what would otherwise be a brilliant strategy, sometimes Paul's dreams intrude into his announcing. For example, at the Midwest Regional in '05 Paul was heard muttering something that sounded suspiciously like "I'm flying Jack"
