hey guys i'm new here, i'm the soul animator of team 744, we havent done any animations in the past but i've been working with max for about 3 years now so i figured i'd give it a shot, i was wondering if anyone had the info for the safety animation, they said they were supposed to announce it by email blast today, but seeing as i dont get those (if anyone has a link or knows how to sign up i'd be greatful) i really have no idea whats goin on, did any of you get that? and could u post it up if you did?, thanks a bunch

I dont see it here (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=113) and I did not get the email. So my guess is that it was not sent.

and just so nobody thinks i'm crazy, if you look at the calendar (http://www.usfirst.org/robotics/2007/frc_time.htm), it says the contest rules will be announced by email blast on october 16th
if anybody does happen to get this info, please do post it up :)

Hmm, I was told it was due out tomorrow. So maybe it's just sent out late...
Hope it's out by tomorrow afternoon, we have a meeting and I desperately need something for my new members to work on :yikes:

i'm definetly with Jedi up above, i'm dying to give the new guys somthing to work on thats a little less mind warping than programming...

I don't know if there are any rules on that. Just to be safe, I'm using the same settings we use for the Official submission (720x480, 29.97fps...).

Since the rules were rather vague we are going to use the same size but just not 29.97 fps. We are also planing on submitting our animation as a wmv. Just because last year we had no video editing tools that could output as .mov nor did we have a converter that would allow us to get a .mov in the end. Because of that we had to use and learn Video Post that night. *shudders* Camera changes, blank slate, credits, fades, etc. everything done in video post.
