I just noticed that there's no Halloween thread yet. Anyhow, I'll be at home, giving out candy. My costume this year: The Box Ghost, Master of all Things Cardboard and Square! So yeah, me with overalls, a pale-blue face, do-rag, and sideburns. And boxes. Lots of boxes.

I'll even plop up some pictures this time (and maybe a couple of older ones I never put up). And I really, really mean it this time. :p

BEWARE!

I'm going to dress up as a weldor and carry around my torch at school all day!

Me? Absolutely nothing, quite possibly making me the only Preston resident to do so.

(If it's any consolation, I get back from Cal Games the day before around 2:00 PM after the drive from the airport, which doesn't really give me much in the way of time. And I've got an accounting test on Halloween.)

I get to go to the Student Government Association (SGA) Meeting for Columbia. My commitment doesn't stop just becuase it is Halloween (last year I went to a WildStang meeting).

I am going to be a cheerleader on Halloween and Good Witch Glinda for the Columbia Party on the 26th. It is much easier to get around classes in a cheerleading uniform than in a huge pink dress.

And as a FYI to all high schoolers that think you are too old to trick or treat. You are never to old to trick or treat, it's free candy. Just take a kid out... or even better. Spread the message of FIRST on Halloween, give one of your neighbor children an old team shirt, wear one of your new ones, walk around with them. Give them an old Dewalt drill and go as an engineer. If people ask about it all the better time to explain FIRST! Spreading the word + getting kids involved + awesome halloween costume = best FIRST-o-ween ever.

Theoretically, staying home, and doing the terrible, mind-reaping, mind-diluting thing I call IB- homework.

It is a terror of its own.

We have a dress up day at school, we have to pay 3 dollars but it's all good because we get to be out of dress code for the day.

EDIT: It's official, I went threw my closet. I'm going to be Wednesday Addams. Yes, I made the outfit with my own clothes =]

I'm also trying to get my team mates to go trick or treating with me, but they are kind of reluctant to join.

I think I'll throw on a white shirt, a few pens in the pocket, and some awkward glasses and go as myself ;) No, seriously though, despite the push to get me to dress up as an M & M, I think I was also thinking of the V idea.

I'll be DJing a halloween party on Saturday after the Rah Cha Cha Ruckus. I'll have to leave early, but it'll be fun anyway.

Team 116 is going to be at Udvar-Hazy Center's Air and Scare Halloween event on the 28th and so I'm going to skip the party I usually go to. Our little Vex bots are supposed to be decorated like spiders and so I'm going to go with that theme and be a Black Widow Spider...

On Halloween, I'm going to be staying home to watch horror movies and give out candy, which is my favorite thing to do on Halloween!

I have wanted to be Marty McFly from Back to the Future for the last several years, but I have never been able to find a nice red vest for an amount I'd be willing to pay for it.

Maybe when I finally find it I can talk someone else into being Doc, and we could get the whole theme going.

Or you can just have it hand out candy. I mean no one would dress up as a robot haha. Oh wait... I just might haha.

As for me... I have no plans that day haha. It's my friend's birthday so just may do something for that. Hopefully I'm not the only one who will be home not doing anything haha.

I get to work 24 hour shift 6:45am Tuesday to 6:45am wensday so at least I will not have to deal with all the kids on wensday who have upset stomachs after eating all that candy. And I will be able to be the one of the first people to take advantage of all the cheap candy in the stores.

For next years Ruckus I would like to see a "boneyard" made(sort of a haunted robot shop) but it's far too late to make one now.

My family and I celebrated Halloween early this year. My family and my best friends family (she is from another robotics team), we went to Disney World! It was awesome. We got to dress up and trick-or-treat in the Magic Kingdom! It was the best. There was a specially ticketed party just to do this! It was Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. It was tons of fun, my best friend and I dressed up as twins...we had people thinking we were actually twins, it was pretty funny! I highly recomend going to Disney on Halloween, it is tons of fun!!! :-D
