The season is long over, and the graduation now a memory. But, I would like, on behalf of all team 229, to take this time to thank Chris Carnevale and Adrienne Emerson for their dedication to FIRST as a whole, and that team they call the smallest of the big dogs. They have made FIRST such a positive experience for me. Through their mentoring, leadership, and most importantly friendship they have made my last three years on 229 such an enjoyable experience for all those involved. I have learned so much from these two and I owe them so much. They are both amazing mentors and people.

This past year I had the pleasure of being coached by Chris, an honor my brother and I now share. Chris is both an amazing coach, amazing engineer, and an amazing strategist. I started learning from Chris way back in 2003 while watching him coach my brother through the UTC regional and the learning has never stopped. Whether it was working in the pits together, making parts in the shop, or working together in the booth. I continue to learn more and more from Chris every day. Anything I need help with, whether it's writing an English essay or a complex Physics problem, Chris has always been willing to help. And I know that he will always be there to help.

My time spent with Adrienne, well if anything it taught me a few things about Calculus homework, and how to manage your time when in college ;). But what Adrienne really taught me extends well beyond the scope of engineering design or mathematical calculations. Adrienne taught me what being both a good leader and a good follower can bring about. Adrienne has taught me that being a kind and gifted individual is a trait that earns you both respect and admiration from your peers. But above all else, Adrienne taught me that a good scalp massage can do wonders when you need to relax ;).

I just want to say thank you and good luck to Adrienne, Chris, and all the other 229ers for all they have taught me and the rest of the team. You will be and are deeply missed. They are great mentors, but more importantly great people that I will always think of firstly as my friends as my friends , and secondly as my mentors. Despite the joking tone this post may have, I feel a deep respect for these people, I don't believe that I can do these two people justice in any post here on CD, whether it is 4 paragraphs or 40. Thank you again to 229's graduated mentors.
