If anyone even hints at puke-bots, I'm calling these guys (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/media/photos/18485) back in.
As always, the deadline is Saturday at midnight EST, unless you're lucky or I'm slack.
Go!

Despite his promises to be neutral, no one believed billfred would be able to stop himself from rewarding those who made fun of Dave. Again.
And thus those who best made fun of Dave triumphed in the Caption Contest. Again

"You see that sickly look on Dave's face? Some idiot (most likely a New England resident) snuck a Dunkin' Donut into his box of Krispy Kremes."

At a summer festival, Dave came up with no less than 116 donut tasting critiques:
- nope, not this one
- nope, not this one
mmm, oh - nope, not this one
bring me more!
nope, not this one...
and so it went throughout the day until the donut makers were out of sugar, out of fillings...out of patience, when finally, Dave was satisfied and said,
Juuuust riiiiight - now bring me more!
at which point the local donut makers who were inexperienced with dlavery's bottomless donut appetite, called in the KK professionals, closed down their booth, and went home vowing never, ever, ever to make donuts if even a hint of Dave Lavery showed up.

Okay. I triued the Dunkin Donut. Yes I hate it. Now gimmie my hundred dollars and point me to the nearest bathroom. I have to purge this poison from my body.

"Dave ate the first doughnut and said 'This one is too hot'
Dave ate the second doughnut and said 'This one is too cold'
Dave ate the Krispy Kreme doughnut and said 'This one is just right...'"

Dave: You know, I bet this would be much better fried in butter.

Dave grimaced as he realized the doughnut was in fact a Dunkin Doughnut, and it had be inside team 40's (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showthread.php?t=29) closet along with some packets of light creme, and it would probably taste better if it hadn't been there since the ship date...
Goober!!!
10-12-2006, 21:34
Dave suddenly noticed that he dropped some jelly on his favorite shirt and right before he had to give a speech to a lot of people and the bad thing is its covering the NASA logo!!!:D :D :D
We at NASA do not run on theories. We experiment to make sure that everything meets specifications. Always looking for better products Dave does the bite and tip test. Unfortunately this one was a bit too runny and the outside a bit too sticky. Like a true scientist Dave continues his experiments.

Andy Baker thought it would be fun to impersonate Dave . So he donned his Lavery mask and NASA t-shirt and went to the Dunkin Donut booth. KK stock prices plunged 35 points that day.

99 KK donuts in the box, 99 KK donuts, take one out scarf it right down, 98 KK donuts in the box
Unfortunately, this is the best known picture of Dave Lavery. In fact, it's not only on his NASA ID badge, but he sends it out as his annual Christmas card.
Some people are photogenic; some eat donuts.
And thus NASA's project to send a donut to Mars ended.
Dave: I didn't know that Krispy Kreme made jelly donuts!
Student: Me neither. In fact, that one is from a shop on the West Coast that isn't KK.
Dave: *makes face* I don't know about this.

<smack smack> ..hmmm...wonder if we could use this material for rover wheels? The kk's never seemed to make it from the box to the test chamber.

Elgin Clock
13-12-2006, 14:38
Dave: So ok, guys.. here's my idea. To fundraise the next space shuttle mission, we are gonna take these here donuts and print a NASA logo on them and sell them.
We'll have bases at all 9 err... 8 planets(?!?!?!?!?!?) in no time! :yikes:

I promise to be neutral on this one. :p
<note an entry> neutral? heh heh I wonder why..... <eom>
Last week at the Herndon Festival Day, kids were having fun learning
about bots at the Robot Driving Skills tent and getting treated to free donuts!
Manning the free donuts table was everyone favorite volunteer Billfred.
But a loud conversation was over heard amidst the noise:
Dave: (munch, munch, burp) that is donut number 10. Change it Bill.
Bill: Ah come on! You deserved “Infinity” for Caption #125.
Dave: (munch, munch, burp) that is donut number 11. Give me my points back.
Bill: You are eating all the free samples! Hey that is number 12 you’re taking!
Dave: Give me my 25 points back or I’ll be eating an infinity number of donuts.
Bill: OK, I give up; you’ll get your 25 points back.

It's caption contest #127. I'm not even a programmer, and I know what that means in the robot code. ;)

Dave: Yeah, I know it's the perfect pose for a Billfred Caption Contest entry, so hurry up and take the photo so I can finish this donut. :D
"mwuhm-hwam-glahm-domnum"
*swallows*
"And thats the only hint you're getting"
Dave Lavery, world renowned doughnut connoisseur and NASA expert in solar system exploration, demonstrates his donut eating ability while filming the pilot of his new Discovery Channel / Food Network collaboration series, “Donuts with Dave.” The show will mix technology with food as Dave shares his knowledge on the Mars Exploration Rover project and FIRST Robotics, while eating donuts, lots of donuts.
Little did the doughnut makers know, but Dave trained himself to become immune to truth serum to prevent people from forcing the game knowledge out of him.

Dave Lavery, long considered to be an evil genius due to the sadistic game hints he releases, finally falls victim to his own tricks (WHAT on Earth did I MEAN?!) and quickly went insane, as evidenced by this occurance where he was found making kissy faces and baby talking to a Krispy Kreme machine.

On a poster in the Post Office: "Wanted, dead or alive, for the serial slaughter of donuts. Do not confront him, he is considered armed and dangerous."
<not an entry>and that's all you're going to get since I'm in the middle of moving right now>
