Congratulations on embarking on the journey that is FIRST Robotics. If you guys are ever in any need of assistance, Many resources are available to you here in the state of NJ.

first off, Paul Kloberg is the FIRST Senior Mentor you can contact him (pkloberg@usfirst.org)
www.raiderrobotix.com home of team 25, they have a program called RINOS (Rookies in Need of Support) they are always more than willing to lend a helping hand.

and finally, my contact information is available here on the site, and I can assist with any problems you might have.

(while I am at it, I am going to move this to the Chit-Chat Forum because it really doesn't meet the criteria for the Team Organization forum)

What a great challenge to get your team to log on to Chief Delphi! I know you all will find lots of great resources to have your team go from "new" to "great" in no time! Best of luck!

Welcome 2016! You will find that ChiefDelphi is THE definitive resource for anything you need to know (except for rules interpretations).

Just remember to Search before starting a new thread - 98% of everything has already been asked and answered.

Also, don't answer unless you know the answer - nothing worse than a guess disgiused as fact to send you off in the wrong direction.

To all rookie teams, you can PM me here anytime and I will try to answer your questsions or put you in touch with someone who can. For those of you reading this thread, your first order of business is to get a driving base to give your drivers some practice. The kit chassis and some plywood will allow you to that in a few hours. Using the default software connect the motors and controllers to the documented output on the RC and power it up. This is highly recommended first or second week goal for new teams. The best designs for manipulating won't be worth anything if you can't drive.

Welcome to FIRST and the Chief Delphi community There are many, many many great sites and programs on this site to help you with anything and everything that you could ever need. You are a very luck team being from NJ and having Team 25 close by to help with their great RINOS (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/www.raiderrobotix.com) program. Also check out Team 365 MOE (http://www.moe365.org) site and the MOEmentum: FYI (http://www.moe365.org/moementum.php) First-Year Infobase (http://www.moe365.org/moementum.php) that is a step by step web based program that will help a rookie, or any other team, go from what to do after kick off to each week up to and after build on what should be done and how to make and accomplish goals during build. so please don't be a stranger here on Chief Delphi and check out the MOEmentum site.
Best of luck this year.
