Just as a reminder, there is an IRC channel for FIRST: #firstrobotics on Freenode (irc://irc.freenode.net/#firstrobotics).
Some recent enhancements:
Added some silly/random statistics, say "!stat" for links
Kickoff and ship countdown timers (ship time calculated based on EST, california people get 4 additional hours), say "!kickoff" and "!ship" for the times
Some other random commands, try "!list games", "!list lol", "!list chiefdelphi", and "!list" to get started
There are several Java clients available. Mine is http://astro73.com/firstirc.
