View Full Version : 2007 Game Name!!!
So I was just thinking, I have no clue what the game could even be by looking at the obscure abstract image that the GDC calls a "clue". So here people can try to figure out something a little bit easier, the game name! So go for it! Anything could happen!

"Five Spot"
I looked an the Hint and I think that the competition will be like this:
a ring, which there are 5 robots inside, or 5 teams of robots, and they will have to push the other robots \ teams out of the ring.... somthing like that...
King of the Rings
Just kidding that was the name of our VEX game.

I was thinking that the game involved 5 goals filled with water that were placed on the field just like the diamonds on a five of diamonds in deck of cards are placed.

How about "Rack 'N' Roll"??
It looks like a possibility from the FIRST web site.
It may be too obvious or someone has gotten ahead of themselves. I'll post where I found this after saturday.

The clue I found has been taken away. So it looks like this was an "OOPS" on the part of FIRST. The cat may not be out of the bag, but I think I can hear it meowing.

Interesting. Very Interesting.
I was right. Now here is how I found out.....
The name was accidentaly released when FIRST preloaded the 2007 Q&A Forum site. FIRST had the forums locked, to prevent their use, but the forum names were all there and visible. The names of the sub forums seem to be copied from the section headings in the manual. The section 0 of the manual contains a heading 0.4 titled: THE 2007 GAME – “RACK ’N’ ROLL”. Thus the name of the game was included in a visible forum title.
This was on the FIRST site as late as Thursday evening before kickoff. On Friday all the 2007 FORUMS were removed and as of this moment have not been restored.

Correct. I told them they had the game name up, and they may not want to release that yet, so they took it down.
I think it was just a test to make sure the forums worked though, they weren't meant to be up long enough for people to notice.

I didn't see this so FIRST was probably just testing their forums.

....lol yea i was expecting something similar to High Five or Gimme Five
after all, it turns out that it's Rack & Roll. I like FIRST's creative names haha
So why haven't they put the 2007 forum back yet?
It should be up tomorrow.
