How much is it going to weigh and do you have any manipulator designs yet?

The base weighs 58.0 lbs., and we have a few designs for manipulators that we are going over before we decide which one to go with.

58 POUNDS! Is that including all motors, electronics, wheels, chain, everything?

Horray for CAD.
Anyways, beltdrive as shown, or is it really going to be a chain driven drive system?
I don't blame you for not modeling the whole chain link assembly if that's what it's going to be.
Nice job.

How are you actually getting your fingers in there to make/break the chains? That's a very tight fit with very little clearance.
Also, do you really need the two, beefy cross members in there? I'm guesing those are 4x4 box tubes, which add a considerable amount of weight. The stiffness of the side tubes should be plenty, especially if you're going to add bumpers to the outsides...
Nice modelling, great custom install of the shifting (servo, at that) gearbox. We contemplated 8wd as well, as it's a great concept. We decided to stick with the simplicity of 6wd.
Good Luck!
