You need to get MPLAB to run MP2HEX.
In MPLAB IDE 7.20 select:
Project->Build Options ... ->Project
and select the MPLink Linker tab,
Finally - check the INHX32 Hex-File Format.
Good Luck!

I do not know how you are managing to do this. From MPLAB select Project>Build Options>Project and click in the MPLINK Linker tab and then verify that INHX32 is selected. My guess is that this is not your problem...
My guess is that you are getting an error which is halting the build process...
Any error messages?

i had this problem when the project we were editing was burried very deep in the directory tree. try closing down MPLAB. copy your entire working directory, then paste it somewhere near the root directory such as:
C:\mcc18\projects\{working folder}
then open your workspace again in MPLAB and try build all function.

I also had this same problem and as slloyd said, the project was burried very deep. I just created a directory: C:/camera and put the project in there. Then, changed the output directory to that path since it was still creating the .coff file after the directory change.

After you go Project -> Build All -> Project, you go to the MPLINK Linker tab and check "Suppress COD file generation." That worked for me.

another problem now.. in the com1 terminal window.. it doesnt display any of my printfs... which is puzzling...
essentially this is all i want to see:
-------------------------
rot = Get_Analog_Value(rc_ana_in01);
temp = Get_Analog_Value(rc_ana_in02);
pot = Get_Analog_Value(rc_ana_in03);
ac = Get_Analog_Value(rc_ana_in04);
printf("rot: 3%d, temp: 3%d, pot: 3%d, ac: %d/r", rot, temp, pot, ac);

-however, it still does not diplay anything in the com1 terminal window..
maybe this will help:
when i unplug the frc controller from the main power (12V) the com terminal window prints: IFI>
it does this once for every time i unplug, then plug back in, the power to the controller...
hmm??
------ and it seems like everytime i turn around im getting some new error---
any help?
