Team Theme

What theme is everyone going with for this years competition?? I figure most teams are going to go with either a rock n roll theme or beach theme. Our team is going with a mythical creatures theme

This will be Team 204's 10th year competing in the FIRST robotics program and we are using it as our theme.

Beach may be somewhat close, with all those bloody coconuts we carry around, but full armor just isn't up to the beach spec. Ni!

Our theme this year is called T.R.A.N.C.E.
It stands for Technology Reveloutininzing A New Complex Era.

Our team theme this year is “ARE YOU M.A.D?” M.A.D is an acronym for Making A Difference. So, “ARE YOU M.A.D?”

our team is going with the pheonix theme again this year, fir our 4th time. It all started once our robot funky got destroyed by a forklift when being shipped home so we build another robot, pheonix, from what we could salvage for the offseason. this robot was followed by pheonix rising. then we skipped a year of pheonix theming, then we were pack with pheonix version 3.14 last year, and this year we have pheonix phenomenon (it lost by one vote to the name 'pheonix quatro: the power of titanium'). I think we might try and gradually switch over to a more mythical era theme of knights etc. since our schools mascot is th green dragons, and we might be able to blend with that.

We always go with a theme that is started with some inside joke on the team. So we will have our mascots as Gators, but we will make up some crazy jokes and stuff about our robot, which kind of looks like a, well you'll see at competition.:D

We decided on a Rock and Roll Theme in August last year! Then when we found out that the game's name is Rack n Roll, we were shocked.

We are going with an Exploding Bacon theme. Pigs and rockets, and explosions... its pretty sweet. I guess I really don't understand the point of the thread? Isn't your "theme" really supposed to be pretty close to your team name? Most teams don't really change from year to year.

we change our theme based on the robots name, last year our robot was Zeus so we had a person dressed as a greek god and our shirts had E=mc^2 is greek letters then Zeus with glasses and pencils in a pocket and below it we had "The Geek Gods" so i just wanted to see what other peoples themes were

We come up with a new theme every year. Mostly due to how were going to design our HOF/ Chairman's submission. But we run the theme throughout the team. From the robot name to the pins for distribution.
It doesn't have to be any way assosiated with the name X-Cats but it does have to be assosiated with what were all about.

We are simply the men (and women) in white coats. We are known for our labcoats, as we've had that for 6 or so years... and we're not going to be changing any time soon.

As for robot theme, we usually stick with clean aluminum, except for blue standing out for the 114 or Eagle Strike.

Standard Kaizen Blitz Japanese theme, as always. Lots of black, red, and "Kaizen" characters.

Beauty in simplicity, simplicity in function, function in design.

And we will be just as loud and as colorful as we were last year.
