Fork Connectors

Hello all,


We've gotten our electronics wired up using standard fork connectors on the victors. I was wondering if there is any reason we shouldn't use the fork connectors. One of our members thinks that they will cause a problem... but I don't forsee any.


Any advice is Greatly appreciated :)

Ring lugs are less likely to come loose if the wires are accidentally pulled. I would be more comfortable using them than fork style.

Hey Cody,

I dont forsee any problems using the fork connectors. I would just make sure that you check them continuesly just in case the screw starts coming loose on the victors. Other than that they should work pretty good. Last year we used these 90 degree terminals and they worked great.

The design of the Victor and the power input to the RC can cause problems with fork connectors if they are not checked by your electrical pit crew on a regular basis. Often, over tightening the mounting screw will spread the forks and cause the distance between adjacent connectors to shrink. We use a push on adapter that is designed with a screw hole at one end and a push on at the other end. This way, damaged components can be replaced without tools and electrical check time is vastly reduced.
