Is the PVC (or whatever that is) just pressed onto the window motor's output pinion? If so, what size PVC is that?

I beleive that may actualy be climbing tape, we used it in FIRST Frenzy to lift our robot. It's remarkably strong :)

Neither, its tubular nylon. Its rated to 1500 pounds and is used in applications such as rock climbing, parachutes, etc. Should be more than enough to lift the ~5 pounds this thing lifts.
