Our robot is finished. Fine tuning all parts and creating spares.
Will post pics soon after we get all of our parts powder coated.
So far, drivers need a lot of practice.
They can only score 6 ringers right now in two minutes.:ahh:

excelent job guys! 6 ringers in 2 mins isn't bad, especially with 18 days left to practice til ship.
Good Luck!

The problem is that our drive team scored 6 ringers on our side directly in front of us. We havent really practiced on the reverse side yet.
Until you actually practice, you come to realize a few things:
1. The importance of scoring 60 at the end being above ground 12" or higher is very important.
2. The importance of strategy.
3. The ability to score first on a leg on the rack and scoring on the reverse side of the rack. It really is tough!!!

I'm glad you were able to finish so quickly. Isn;t it really easy to push your robot sideways since you have all omni wheels?

I knew someone was going to ask that. The answer would be "no" because of a secret that everyone at competition will find out soon enough.:D

I was about ask if yu could tell us anyway, since I'd probably not be at any regionals on the west coast, until i remembered ... You guys are coming to TRENTON! WOO HOO, I just cannot WAIT to see what you came up with!
As I said before, dress warmly. Looking forward to Leis and poi.

How did you set up your ringer scoring practice? Do you mean six ringers in 2 minutes, with the ringers stacked against a wall 15 feet away from the spider, or do were the ringers on the ground around the spider?
Please explain your practice setup in more detail.

If we put ringers randomly just around the rack, we can do more than 6. I posted that response almost a couple of weeks ago when we first tested and put the rack in a different room.
We had some issues with our claw which we fixed.
What's not shown is our double jointed claw (no wrist action) and the ramp which deploys at the end.
We are still fine tuning our ramp from the prototype one that was developed several weeks ago.
We also are tinkering around the 120lb max weight and may need to shed a few pounds.
