Our Sunday crew finished the mechanicals today. In plenty of time to catch the Super Bowl.
A little wiring, some programming, mount the bumpers, a bunch of practice, and we're ready for the regionals. :) :)

That thing is beautiful...
What metal did you make it out of? It's so....shiny.....
Who are you and what did you do with the REAL Jack Jones?
The REAL 1213 makes 5' high, full-extent-of-dimensions tanks on wheels every year, like this (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/media/photos/23295)or this (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/media/photos/21186), not 4 foot tall Wildstang ramp wannabees ;) :D

Looks like a more refined and expensive version of ours. How do your ramps work?

The ramp torsion springs will go away. Found we didn't need them. DOH!
We unlatch the ramps and give them a push. Gravity and a length of spectra string does the rest. They flop down, and the ramp flips forward when the spectra goes tight. Platform lands on legs - yet to be installed.

Our mentors don't trust gravity that much. It's not as reliable as other means, apparently.
Send me a picture when the legs are done, eh?

Your ramp deployment system looks just awesome. I have a few questions about your ring grabber though. do you have some way of grabbing the tube, or are you just hanging off your arm? great looking robot, can't wait to see it in action!
