Question from a nightly FIRST chat: "Why are people still posting on CD with the game on and it's not in the Superbowl thread."
Me: "idk."
Seriously. Take a break folks. Enjoy some pop-culture.
It's only one day a year. lol

you know what i think about the super bowl? i think that its crap. I can't really go anywhere because of the traffic from everybody going in and out of the stadium. It's pure madness.
Da Bears!
Love the GM Robot commercials. Some of the commercials have been good so far.

GM robot commercial was excellent. I think it was Bud Light's commercial on how slapping each other across the face is now the new fist "tap". All the guys do it, and then the one guy slaps his boss...whoops.
Regardless of the fact that they are up (16-14) right now, I'm going Colts. And I saw a really terrible, evil picture of a Bears fan at the Bears-Saints game who had a sign that was in the Bears colors and said "Finishing what Katrina started". I'm sorry, but in the end, it's just a game, folks. The fans don't really get anything out of it except some bragging rights, and in the end, the players are still going to get paid. If you are that crazed about a sports team that you write a sign like that and bring it to a game, that's just not right. That picture really annoyed me. [/ $.02]

I have friends that made a sign like that and took it to the game. They are not evil people, even a girl in our class that survived Katrina laughed about it. Take things with a grain of salt, it is just a game.
I've said it all along, the games going to be 31-14 Colts.
EDIT: There goes my prediction.

I agree it's just a game, and fan mentality can get a little off the wall.
I will admit that was a quirky sign that prolly got some attention to his team. Maybe it wasn't in the best way, but I'm sure he's not a "evil, terrible person" as you say he is.
Just a fan, who came up with a funny sign which referenced current events. I'll admit I found it a bit funny. (And if that gets me some red dots here who cares, remember "they're only dots folks"
As far as this fan goes, Hurricane Katrina was not the greatest thing to reference in a sign but it was enough for you to remember now wasn't it?
Our society is all about shock value. It's our culture. It's our way.
Can someone say Janet at the Superbowl a few years ago?
You remember that, and she gained some popularity cause of that incident. "Wardrobe Malfunction" became the new word of the hour/day/week/year.
Now go back and try to remember who played that game, or what the final score was. Do you remember. I'm guessing that would be a no.
Speaking of Hurricane Katrina, and referencing shock value, I'm betting you can't tell me off the top of your head what date Hurricane Katrina hit, or what time, but you sure remember Kayne' West's comment about George Bush a few days later during the Relief For Hurricane Katrina concert don't you?
Is is wrong that you remember the things that shock you and not the boring stuff in your life, or in society?
You tell me.
Oh.. and btw.. Colts are going down.. kinda like Barbaro.*
*See.. that was in bad taste too.. but admit it.. someone you know would of laughed. :-x
Btw.. R.I.P. Barbaro. You were awesome! :)

I think that FIRST has spoiled me with the fact that everyone in the crowd at FIRST events are kind to everyone, but that is just not true in real life.

I'm rooting for the Bears because I have no preferance for either team, but my brothers are rooting for the Colts, and I woant to root against them.
Does anyone remember the website that has all this year's Super Bowl commercials?
The GM robot and the Map Monster were my favorites.

Myspace has a ton of them so it seems..
But they cut off the beginning of the GM Robot commercial. So sad.

Also so sad, is the Bear's loss a few moments ago. Aye.. :(
Hey, I'll deal with my prediction only being 2/3 points off, seeing as this was the first NFL game I've seen this season.
Two things, I STRONGLY DISLIKE Peyton Manning # and I love watching Devin Hester and the Bears. That being said I am glad the Colts won so Tony Dungy can finally have a ring as a coach.
#I dislike Peyton for three reasons, he is constantly complaining about calls, all of those commercials, and his comment last year after they lost the AFC Championship game

Peyton Manning has more class and talent than most players in the NFL. Sorry if you don't like the fact that company's want him to be in their commercials because he's a good role model and doesn't do things that will embarrass his team or community.
Colts win, Bears = teh suck. Grossman was a joke.
