DO I NEED TO CALIBRATE MY CAMERA IF I AM USING THE "BELLS AND WHISTLES" AND TELL ME IF CALIBRATING IS NEEDED AT ALL

Calibration is not needed when using Kevin's code.

It's a bit misleading to say that it "won't need to be calibrated":
You'll probably need to set up labview and make sure the camera is reasonably focused. You won't need to actually need to set the values for anything else, but if you don't focus everything comes out as a giant blob.
