Haha, you won't be climbing any ramps with that, will you?

You should still make SOME provision to be able to climb ramps...
What if there is a better ramp bot on your alliance?

For a second there I didn't think you had any wheels. :D
Are you planning bumpers?

Looking good guys, can't wait to see that bot in action down in New Hampshire. I assume you guys got ramps coming off the side seeing that you don't look like you will be going up many.

Looks very clean, love those holonmic wheels.
But what would you do if your alliance has a pure ramp bot that's better than yours?

i think that pure ramp bot would have to just block
that must be one lightweight robot seeing as you guys only have 100 pounds to use
also...
that's a really dirty civic

Awesome, you guys finally decided to try an omni! I'm looking forward to seeing 296 again in Toronto and Atlanta.
Do you work in a parking garage? The school's parking garage is right next to the robotics lab, so it's a convenient place to roll out the carpet for testing.

Hahahahah yeah, we've got a like 6 inches of snow and like 2 feet forecasted, the car has a right to be dirty. and as pat said, our teacher parking garage is in the basement right next to the workshop so it provides a wonderful open space for practice.
we dont have a suspension for the omni-wheels, but they work great, unfortunately we had an incident involving the lift motor today, lets just say our bot is "on fire" in more ways than one ;)
concerning ramping... uh we've been thinking of that and we have a few plans to improve wheel clearance, though i dont know how much play we have in terms of height limits. [weights not bad now, we've planned carefully to keep it low]
look forward to seeing you all
