Is it possible (legal) to use a gear i buy in a gears store, considering it is it the range of the cost available?

If it was from a store that anyone can access to buy gears, it would be legal. Follow the flowchart in section 8 of the rules.

Team #1947 - how appropriate. (See if anyone else gets the connection.)

He's referring to the UN Partition Plan of 1947, creating the state of Israel. Other ironic team numbers might be like having Team 1776 in Philadelphia, or Team 1138 in Marin County, CA, or Team 1337 in Silicon Valley (Wishful thinking).

Then 1948, 1963, 1979 would have also been nice numbers for Israeli teams...lets see you all finding out why =]

1948 = Independence
1979 = Recognized as a country by Egypt

1963 = ???

1967 I could get but 1963 I can't think of anything.
