Thus, you utterly fail your exam, bringing your total science grade down to a D+ from a B+. You go home and decide to sleep for the rest of the week.

Granted, but you realize that the house is painted bright orange, rather than lime green, your first choice. You end up having to pay for the whole house to be painted again, a problem that could have been avoided if you had noticed the error halfway through the process, rather than at the end of it.

I wish I had one of those devices from Stargate SG-1 (with the replicators) that would exponentially slow down time so we could seriously test our robot prior to shipping.

Granted, but now the thread is really, really boring and mentors start publishing more, and you have such a bad attack of ennui you leave robotics and spend the rest of your short, pathetic life yearning for the old days of wishing for incorruptible threads while trying to become world champion in short-form lawn bowling.
I wish that students would realize that it's far more productive to panic four weeks before they have to have their robot ready to compete (or ship) than to wait for the last minute.
Granted. They panic like heck do a really crappy job and send their robot in 3.5 weeks early =D lol.
I wish for a girl that would stay with me throughout anything and everything. I wil be happy with any corrupted life if i have just that. =]

Granted but since your senior year goes by so fast you miss out on essential lessons that you need and have a very hard time keeping a job because you know how to start something but not finish it.

wish granted, but since there are multiple competition start days, all time in between each start day is obliterated and, even though each competition starts, only the final competition would be played out. However, since the ship days contained within the obliterated days are gone, attendance at the competition is too low and the competition would be postponed, and all time in between the postponement decision and the new competition start day would again be obliterated. This would cause the cycle to be endlessly perpetuated.
(BTW- Too late, the competition has already started.:D )
i wish that a completed drive chain segment (about twenty-five links put together) were published in the Autodesk Virtual Kit of Parts.

How ironic that you had assumed the position of "The Thinker" when you first sat down.
I wish will get well soon, and in the mean time that they take this chance out of school as an opportunity to get some sleep (they have probably had only four hours of sleep in the past four days).

They finally get sleep, but you all over sleep kick-off, ship, and all the regionals plus atlanta.

granted, but your team would do horrible, and your board of education cancels the team, and leaves every 1675 member out on the road with nowhere to go... and no one wants that.

I wish that I had more free time.
Wish Granted, you now have all the free time in the world. Unfortunately, due to the insane amount of free time you now have, you are taken to a mental institution, given a nice, new, clean jacket, and placed in a nice, softly padded room. Oh well, you still have all of that free time. Then again, the only things in the room seem to be you, the jacket, and the pads. Hmmm, that's strange. Why can't you move your arms?
I wish my school offered German, Latin, and Japanese as foreign language classes.

Granted, but English is dropped and you have to learn all of your other classes in those languages.
I wish life (or Chief Delphi) had an undo button.
Granted. Your life now has an Undo button, but in your haste to use it, you hold it down too long, and your ENTIRE life is undone. Congratulations! You no longer exist, and your family and friends miss you terribly.
I wish our street weren't being paved on trash pickup day.

Granted. Right as the garbage truck arrives to pick up your trash, it pops a tire on the rough pavement on your streets. The truck must be towed away, so your garbage will not be picked up and the street is still not paved.
I wish I would stop procrastinating.

Granted, you now you anything you ever wanted/needed to do as soon as possible, but now you no longer have anytime left for FIRST. You also don't have anytime for friends or family. You have won several awards for discovering new things, but you now can't remember your middle name, your mother's birthday, your favorite food, etc.
I wish I could go out and stare at the stars.
