Check your file size. Is it the size permitted? I know we had this problem last year.

Sure, Our animation is a .mov file that is approximately 70MB. When we try to upload to First Base it claims that it has completed 100% of the upload, however when it is 'done' and the page refreshes it still says that we have not uploaded it. We have tried numerous times yesterday and today and we get the same problem.

Look here under entry requirements. There is an email address for you to write to. Write them and ask for assistance. Yesterday, I had a few questions and they were very helpful.

Look there are probably 100 teams out there trying to upload there video right now. The server is probably reciveing tons of information and its probably slowing everyone down. This happens every year.

Jane

I received confirmation a little bit ago that this is the correct way to contact them.

Try to stay calm and in your email, be as specific as you can be regarding the problem you are having. I'm thinking part of it is what BuddyB309 is saying as far as everyone trying to enter their submission today.

HELP US ! ! !
We are from Free Access Evolution Team and we are having problems trying to upload the animation. We developed the animation with all the specifications provided in www.autodesk.com/firstbase, but the upload didn't run. So now, we are thinking of making a new site to put our animation there, so we could tell FIRST the password to enter on the site. What do you think of this? Do you think t's possible?

Pedro - I just sent you a PM (private message). Please read that.
You must follow the correct procedure to submit your animation entry.
It is probably slow right now because so many teams are trying to submit.
Stay calm or try to - and send an email with your specific questions.

Autodesk is receiving the emails that teams are sending and they are responding.

We had some uploading problems as well. At first, our school's internet security software did not allow the upload site. When we tried from elsewhere, the file would freeze while uploading.

We sucessfully got it uploaded this afternoon.

Be reasonable guys (even if deadline's past). Think about this: hundreds of animations hundreds of megabytes in size, all get shoved into maybe a poor little pentium box  somewhere in the dense jungle of Autodesk.

It's like everybody trying to stuff application forms in a centimeter wide slot at the same time.:)

Hopefully they'll recognize that and be a little lenient. We started uploading ours pretty close to 5:00 pst, and it finished about two hours after the deadline. :o

In the past they've been pretty lenient about the deadline. Give or take a few hours seems reasonable, right?

obviously this is late and 'past the deadline' but Autodesk did send us, Team 1676, an e-mail saying that they fixed what was wrong and everything should work. After they sent that we had success in putting our animation up! Everything should be good now! Again, sorry this is kinda late, but we were trying desperatly to Cut Weight on our bot this year!

Glad they let you upload a bit late. I know that one animation went up several days late last year (not ours) and was still accepted. Glad that they're being lenient.

Thanks, Autodesk!
